Did you notice on Nixas 4th down play how the DEfensive End blew right around Cantwell to sack Nixas QB and knock the ball loose??? He does ok run blocking straight down the field but he is going to have to get a lot better to be a tackle at a major D1 school

That Soph QB is gonna be a big time star. Great learning experience for several who are set to return. This game is a lot like Kearney's loss last Saturday and why everyone reads/hears me talk about how I love teams coming from off the pace. Unbeatens have to be machines to win these titles in my view.
We are about 21.5 hours from finding out if Platte County, who I think is the best team I've seen regardless of class all year, is a machine or perhaps needed that smack in the chops as well.

I was NOT impressed with Cantwell tonight. Titan Davis who is also a Top 100 guy dominated him all night. He is too tall and stiff. Cant bend nor move his feet. Guy calling him an NFL player is a bit much, he has a very long way to go.

I like Seneca who I do think is a 2024 machine got their smack in the chops last year in the title game plus Adrian and Platte County.

The person who saw this same team lose 28-3 to Ritter and 38-14 to CBC. Those games were non-competitive, DeSmet completed embarrassed. The bracket broke for them and they got to play a Weak and Unathletic SWMO team in the State Title Game. Congrats to them.

Cantwell is a year young for his grade . He's academically a junior but he's sophomore age . Nixa will be better next year . Cantwell and the other tackle will be back Nobody in SWM will touch them again . Their soph QB is a stud also . Rubera was historically good but they have enough athletes to plug about anyone in that spot and put up similar numbers.
Yeah, I think the coaching staffs opinion would overrule yours.
They are gonna be beyond a handful next year mark it down. One thing, though, I have said before I think they need to do is schedule outside the COC look at not just KC-STL but down in Arkansas. Playing teams like that prep you for games like tonight especially if you are a program that has never won it all.
Never underestimate the value this loss will likely bring to the Nixa program. I bet anything Seneca shows everyone what happens when you lose in the title game one year then bring many key contributors back the next tomorrow morning................
