I would probably finish the parade near the high school so they don't have to carry their equipment so far to check in.

Nope. He'll be around to chastise me in a few mins when he gets his lunch break at the steel mill.
Youre darn right I will!!! And when youre the manager at the mill, you can take a break whenever you wish! I just so happen to be on my lunch break right now! Now here is a picture of ME at the college I went to, NEBRASKA! Not even close to Rudy!!

Webb Fan #1: Now, gentlemen, let me ask you this: What if Da Cards were all 14 inches tall, you know, about so high? Now, what's your score of today's game? I say Webb 34 CJ 2

Webb Fan #2: What about Roderique? Would he be mini too?

Webb Fan #1: No, he would be full grown.

Webb Fan #2: Oh then...uh...MiniCards 57 CJ 0

Webb Fan #1: Roderique vs God?
Webb Fan #2: Does God have Jesus wit him?
Webb Fan #1: Yeah
Webb Fan #2: Roderique by three

Some interesting stats to ponder (or maybe not). Webb City beat Carl Junction in week one, 27-12. Since then, the teams played the same regular season opponents over the next 8 weeks (each team went 8-0) with Webb’s average score 34.3 to 6.6, and Carl Junction’s average score 30.5 to 5.9.

Neither team scored fewer than 34 points in a game except for Webb’s 28-7 win over Carthage.

The two district wins by each team were as one-sided as any regular season game.

These two are really good.

The only real difference I see that makes me continue to believe Webb City will win is truly in the history that has shown CJ just can’t seem to hardly ever beat Webb City in football. But otherwise, based on the results of what these two have done this year, I’d consider it a tossup. Even in the first game of the year there were many Webb posters on here who saw CJ outplay Webb in the first half, only to be shut down pretty solidly in the second.

Maybe this is the year CJ wins the one that matters.

There is always a good crowd when these teams play but there will be even more at this game. Many that have little or no vested interest in CJ or WC but just want to see a spectacle and take in the atmosphere, especially if their own team is one of the many that have already been eliminated.

I think CJ has the talent to win this game. Doesn't mean they will win, just that they are capable. Very tough to say what will happen, any number of scenarios seem plausible except for maybe a shootout. If I had to pick one, I might go with something like this:

Game is close and low score through half. WC is the benefactor of a big play or maybe just finds some offensive rhythm and takes a slight lead late in 3Q. Frustrated, Buck pulls out a bizarre trick play that he was saving for the occasion. Trick play goes awry, resulting in a stalled drive or maybe a turnover. Thanks to the foiled trick play, WC hangs on to win. Maybe 20-7.

But really, no one knows what will happen. That is part of the intrigue of this game. In my opinion, WC is only a very slight favorite so realistically this game is up for grabs.

Good insight.....The only thing you probably have not accounted for is that the #1s for WC rarely played in the second half and got pulled in the 2nd qtr. with 9 minutes left against Nixa. Most of the CJ games saw starters playing through the 3rd quarter and into the 4th quarter on several. CJ needs to avoid the slow starts they have had during the COC regular season.

So you're saying CJ proved they could hold teams down for four quarters, whereas Webb's first-team D rarely did that?

Seriously, I know where you're coming from. From basically halftime of the first game of the season to the present, Webb's first-team D hasn't hardly even been scored upon, and in certain cases had performances where they barely even gave up positive yardage for a half to teams.

I hope what some people got was that the two teams have had the same opponents, and CJ's D performed quite well too. Some of their points allowed were also with the first teamers out of the game.

The defacto state championship game. Just like Karnee V. Harrisonville in 2016.

Wizard-I know CJ's defense is good. They are the best defense we have faced by far. I am a little worried about us being able to sustain drives but we shall see in less than 72 hours.

Our Offensive line play week 1 was marginal at best. Some of those guys had zero experience and the Wald kid owned them. They are playing much better now and I don't believe you will see that again. I think we were double teaming him every play first game and I bet he had 15-20 tackles anyway.

Anybody else in line yet on the other side of the stadium? Flint and I are over here in the cold so we can each snag a pair of seats on the 20's as soon as the gates open. Our plan is to move to the set of seats each quarter where we can most easily view all of the first and goal situations for the Bulldogs.

You must really want to see the CJ defense bad.
