Carl Junction at Webb City....... Who ya got?

I'm not sure I've wanted to attend a HS football game this bad ever maybe. Rockbridge/Hickman '94 (I think) was as good as it got for buildup back then. Three OT's later and it didn't disappoint.

Sorry, misleading post by me. Would love to see it. No way I'm going to mess with the crowd and drive. Lol. In '94 I was 19 and at MU and had to drive across town to Hickman. Got there two hrs early and sat on the 50 with 10,000 of my closest friends. Now I'm 42, have about a 2 1/2 hr drive, and get sore from sitting in bleachers. If I lived in Jasper County, I'd be all over it though.

CJ needs a defensive TD and to not have their offense or special teams give up a TD.
 
JN Returns, sense you love to jump from team to team when ur team looses, you have permession to join teh CJ bandwagon when they win on Friday.
 
So Webb put up 27 the first game and have not improved two scores? CJ put up 12 points and has improved? Got it! How much did Webb improve throughout the year last year against Chile game how much did Webb improve throughout the year last year against CJ? Guess we will all see???

2 of Webb's 4 TD were directly from CJ turnovers. If that happens again we all agree CJ will lose.

Was I bandwagoner for Liberty North? I pulled for them to beat Liberty and having a winning record. Do you actually read? Or you just run your mouth? Love to see you in person.

run a hdmi cable to your big screen from your laptop, and select "duplicate" and you be good to go

Yes --love the announcers! I don't why but the signal is always terrible at WC. Ironically--the closest away game. KNEO org 91.7 fm You can go to their page to listen.

Said it somewhere else and saying it again here: last time they met: 27-12 and Webb's defense did that without the preparation of Smitty. He's passionate and this defense believes in him!

We need to get the drone over on the east side so the media kids can get live Buck antics on the video screen. That would be priceless.

I agree with you 3peat! Everyone else always improves - especially CJ, they did last year as the year went on, but last year Webb didn't get any better all season long - NOT! So the question posed is this: Has CJ gotten 2 touchdowns better against a defense that has gotten better all season long? Has CJ's defense gotten so much better that they can stop Webb, even if CJ doesn't through any interceptions? Can't wait for game time, looks like it could be a replay of weather from 2016.
 
The key for the game is CJ d-line and Wall. If Wall has a performance like the first game and creates a couple turnovers CJ could definitely win the game. I think CJ will have s tough time sustaining offense but could hit s couple big plays.

I expect a low scoring game unless the defenses lead to a couple easy scores.

I thought Webb's D was good right off the bat, in fact in the second half of the opener they did a great job of shutting out CJ. Are they even better now? I'd hope so - and I'd think so. CJ's O is certainly better too. Same goes for the other side of the ball - I think Webb's O will be more fine-tuned and I'm sure CJ's D has improved.

Rather than trying to figure out whether improvements have narrowed the gap or perhaps extended it, I see it this way: when two really, really good teams meet (in most sports, at most levels), we typically see a battle rather than a blowout. And as I wrote earlier, I wouldn't predict a five touchdown victory by Class 4's strongest team over the a team who is arguably the second best in this class.

Should be entertaining...
 
If CJs offensive line doesn't perform better than they did last Friday, I'm going to say.....42-7 Webb.
IF they do come to play, I'll say 35-14 Webb
 
I agree with you Wizard for the most part. I think WC has the best chance to extend this to a 3 td win. WC defense has played 3 full games to my recollection this year. CJ offense managed 2 scores with one coming on a broken play for our defense aligning wrong. Also CJ could have scored on 2 long pass plays with broken coverage had they been able to catch the ball. All that being said I do not think the WC defense will have 3 mental breakdowns. Therefore I contend CJ will score at most 14 points IMO. Yes it will be entertaining.
