He's been advertised plenty. Blair Oaks coaches are telling anybody and their brother who will listen about Dylan Hair.
Here's a take from a guy I know who does the college recruiting stuff and gives input to colleges, as colleges also give him input.
The consensus among Power 5 conference schools (Midwest schools) is that Dylan Hair is a lower level D1 player. Conferences ranging from OVC, Missouri Valley, to even MAC schools which is FBS. They would agree that SEMO being his only D1 offer is a little surprising but not overly surprising. The guy I know did say he thinks Dylan would end up with other D1 offers before it's all said and done.
The reasoning:
1. Many think Dylan has a limited ceiling with potential, especially at QB, as they think he will most likely need to move to receiver to get offers any higher than FCS, or more FCS offers in general. They said it's very unlikely he will get offers from any Power 5 schools either way. They said it did help that Dylan grew a couple of inches and put on some solid muscular weight in the last year or so.
2. They said Dylan is also as productive as he is due to him being in the system and offensive scheme he's in. Meaning when it comes to passing he benefits from being in an offense the creates a lot of open passes, and having good receivers who are mismatch problems for a lot of the teams Blair Oaks faces. Essentially Dylan has a lot of open receivers to throw to, and there aren't many contested throws. They said the QB's that can make those throws are a dime a dozen around the country. They said his arm strength is good not great, his accuracy is good not great. They said Dylan is special in the run game and the open field, but they also think he won't get by with that at the D1 level compared to now like he does in high school. They don't think he would be as elusive because the level of talent will be way different. They also think Dylan struggles with multiple reads and read progressions. (I'm not that well versed in this area, just mainly the basics, so can't really speak on this)
When it's all said and done, they think that he could possibly play QB at the FCS level, but that would heavily depend on the school. Other than that he will need to move to receiver if he wants more D1 offers. It's more so, he's more of a low level D1 athlete and not a QB.
Don't shoot the messenger, this is simply the information given to me. Though I will say, I agree with most of what they're saying.
