Darrell Jobe is second to those that made it to NFL. Simply the best I have ever witnessed. Darrell showed up at camp one day and we couldn't tag him let alone tackle him. His brother was gunned down in a drive by on his front lawn. He could barely read but was greatest football player I have ever seen. I had to tell him not to waste his energy and sprint 65 yards in practice and pregame warmups. We all pitched in to make sure he had at least one meal a day at lunch. Just an incredible RB. I saw him lose yardage on one play the entire season. Short yardage he was money. I can't think of a better kid or RB in 35 years. I would choose Darrell Jobe over the list of greatest. Darrell played linebacker in one important game vs. Fort who made it to the final that year and was a runnerup team. He busted run after run to keep us close in that game. He was the best linebacker I have ever seen and he did it on two days of practice. We played him at FS in the Jamboree and he filled the alley so hard, with head splitting collisions, we were afraid he would kill himself and the other team. He was a gift from God, that you dream about to move into your school district. DJ was the perfect football player in work ethic, hustle, talent and character. The ultimate example of an intelligent kid that was not taught in his formative years to compete academically.
Our teachers worked many hours over time to help him graduate High School.

He played at Olathe North hs. They won state and my cousin was on that team...to this day he claims that as a team they weren't very good at all...but nobody could tackle DS

Of the kids I have seen play live on the high school level on your list. 1. Tony Temple, 2. K Rasheed 3.D Washington. 4. Betts 5. Van Zandt.
I never saw among other notables like Elliott.
I saw Kyrsa and he was a great high school runningback that ran plays that punished defenses. Physical in every way. A great player. Van Zandt to me looked like a WR that toted it from the I. Rasheed pure power, Betts is the Bo Jackson of KC and Temple is Lad. Tomlinson of our area. Mozee was good but the list is deep.

Highschool football is great in this regard. Year in and year out, most successful teams can produce a runningback, or they can score, but the great winners typically play great defense. It's common knowledge but we often times overlook the standard principles of championship teams. High school football is the purest form of a team game left in America.

Out of Harrisonville
Reuben Hartzler 2000's
Zach Wood 2000's
Austin Painter 1990's
David Crook late 1970's
Derek Naida 2000's
Morgan Selemaea last year's title team, and probably one of the best all-around football players I have seen play. Offense, defense, kicking, punting, returning kicks & punts. He did it all very well. He is playing DB at Pitt State, and finding the field on 3rd down situations.

Honcho..
In that game, Oak Park was robbed on first down spot. It was the tuck call of Raiders vs New England but was OP vs. BS. A cursed spot. The official that spotted the ball has passed on, but in my mind he fubarred the game. The spot was so terrible he must have hated OP. No doubt in my mind.

Tony and Pat Ray from Butler. Early 80s. Pat played at MU but played dback and Tony was better but I believe he passed away from an accident. Couple others that were also brothers and very good at this time, Mike and JR Brown from O'hara. Mike played at the Air Force Academy and ran wild on national tv against Notre Dame and JR played at Arkansas. More recent Tony Temple and Kenyon Rasheed were both pretty special as well.
