Thats a rough post right there. Seeing them the last 2 years......rather take an 8 man post.

Yeah last few years have really been down in a good sized community. Let's see who they hire.

Then you haven't been a part of it. It's actually still the purest form of ball left. No player movement from town to town for a better situation... Rivalries that span 50+ years as grandkids are playing against the same family bloodlines in the small towns. Great sportsmanship still shown to other teams on the whole and just kids that love the game and not playing for the glory or looking for offers.
That is GREAT for the kids playing 8 man football! Truly wonderful they get to enjoy the game, albeit on a smaller scale. Its also WONDERFUL for the spectators, because they get some of the best sleep of their lives!!!
yeah they play a game, they have fun, they enjoy it but it aint football
8 man football is great. I am thrilled there is such a thing for small schools to enjoy.
But to claim that it is some pure form of the game of football is just silly.
There are a lot of places around that enjoy the game at a similar level in 11 man too.
It is not a competition, both levels can be great.

Could be topical! We can start a storyboard here. I'll start..... They dissolve the department of education and funding for activities dries up. Now EVERYONE must play 8-man or risk losing the sport entirely......
