Who returns the most? Who will be back in the title games? Who loses everything? Genuinely curious.

I believe Helias loses on offense a running back, Wide receiver, and one OL. On defense they lose a CB, 2 LB, and 1 DT. They should be pretty good again next year.

I would think there is a serious chance for a rematch in Class 2.

Does not appear anyone is on that level.

Lamar loses 7-8 each way, Valle 6 each way. BG takes a hit. EB takes a hit. SS takes a hit. Fair Grove might be the team that returns the most. Lose a lot of linemen, but their skill kids are almost all back. What's the report on: Adrian, Scott City, Lift for Life, Lafayette County, Father Tolton, St. Michael's, Strafford, MVL, NMCC, Caruthersville, Mid Buch, Monroe City, etc?

Class 1 guessing is Marionville again. Unless some of the Class 2 teams invade.
Class 3 PHC loses almost everything. Seneca loses quite a bit as well. Should be opened up.
Class 4 LN returns a lot. Shocking.

Adrian loses a lot but keeps a lot.
2 linemen that have been starters since freshman year. The big soph DT will probably play o line more next year and they have another big soph that got a lot of snaps. Line depth will be the big concern.
QB is back. WR is back. 2 running backs (one was hurt most of year but he's got some 'upside').
Lots of sophs got plenty of primetime this year.

Not sure what class they will end up being but, as posted on my thread yesterday, watch St. Pius X.

Liberty North returns a very good QB and the program is well stocked but their crosstown rival LIberty is the one to really watch. That could be an eye to eye game next fall.

The one dead certainty will be the parking nightmare on Conistor Street.................

Bowling Green will still be good for the area.

South Shelby will still be pretty good for the area.

Monroe City is young but does have some good teams on the horizon, probably not quite there next year though.

None are contenders at this point in Class 2.

Both Bowling Green and Monroe City have picked up Valle Catholic on the regular season schedule next year.

Valle at Monroe City week 1.

Blair oaks had either 14 or 16 seniors( can't remember), but returns 7/8 starters on offense including the QB(will be a junior next year.

i can't really remember how many we lose on defense, but Kerperin and Wilde are seniors.

i have heard that southernboone's RB1 family is buying a house in the district(not sure if that is true at this point), and he will be a junior next year i think.

Blair Oaks loses some key pieces but brings back several key pieces, along with having really good freshman and sophomore classes. They should be better these next two years than they were this year.

Defensively losing Kerperin, their D1 linebacker is what will hurt them the most. Defensive line will be really good again, two all-state players coming back plus another starter and a good freshman that saw some action this year. Their secondary in my opinion should be better, several players with experience coming back. Linebacker is the position group that will take a step back. Overall, they won't be a shutdown defense, but they will be pretty good, similar to the 2022 defense.

Offensively they bring back a bunch of experience and production. Offensive line they have 4 kids that have started games that will be back. QB is a sophomore who threw for almost 2200 yards and ran for almost 1600 yards coming back. At running back, they have a sophomore coming back, he was 3rd leading rusher and 3rd leading receiver and ran for over 1000 yards as a freshman. This year was used more as a RB/WR instead of just a RB. At wide receiver they are losing two good receivers but have the kids behind them. The two leading receivers against PHC was a junior and a freshman. They overall bring back a lot of offensive production with the talent in the younger grades to be really good.

Also, word is they are getting a transfer, that arguably might have been the best athlete in the Tri-County conference this year (at least 2nd best) who is only a sophomore. Will see what shakes out with that, but if they get this kid, they will get a considerable boost offensively for RB/WR and in the secondary.

If this truly does happen, they will be scary good on offense for the next two years, as their 4 best athletes and skill players would all just be juniors next year with others to go around them.

Helias in my opinion will be really good again, and if they can somehow slip into class 4 would be serious contenders for a state title. If they are 5, they will still have a good shot. If they didn't lose their QB earlier in the year they would have been playing for the class 5 title this year in my opinion. Helias also has some good talent coming up in their younger grades that will fill in nicely for any players they're losing, but overall bring back quite a bit like HHS said.

Rock Bridge brings back some good players and talent and have some good talent coming up as well. Coach Perkins seems to have them going in a really good direction. They were playing some good football at the end of the year. Probably not true contenders in class 6, but they will push some of the better teams like they did Desmet this year.

The freshman kiddo that played JV QB will be a great one no doubt. Has the speed and best hands of all the WR, just had upper classmen ahead of him. Look out for him! Add him with the move in, potent offense for sure if they find some linemen to just open a hole for a second.

If Lamar does what Lamar typically does, only a few kids will be hard to replace. We shall see how it unfolds. But even so they should be one of the favs going in. I think the upcoming senior class is going to finally have the chance for more than a few to shine. It’s their time.

Hannibal returns 4 on offense and 5 on Defense. Hannibal be a mid type of team and goes 6-3 in regular season and make it to the district championship

Pierce City's sophomores will be juniors with a couple of years of experience. Outstanding freshman class next year. It's been a rough stretch, looking forward to some improvement these next few seasons. Some big classes coming up, may get bumped up to class 2. I may complain about that.?.?

3 – 7 points: re-classified one class above where classified on raw enrollment.

Valle Catholic will have 7 points going into next year.

4 from Championship in 2019
3 from Runner up this year.
Wait. 2019? Lol

As others have already said, Blair Oaks 2 year window is WIDE OPEN to be really good. The kid moving from Southern Boone is the real deal. With BO coaching and not having to play both ways, he will be even harder to stop. Their option attack with the returning QB (Bax), returning RB (Lackman), and the move-in all being Juniors will be special.

Agree, can't think of a year where class 6 will be more wide open than it will be next year. DeSmet, CBC, LSN, LN, Liberty, BS & BSS would be the potential ones that stick out to me.

Can they stop anyone though? They had everyone back this year and defense did not look good for most of the season.
