Hats off to Valle Catholic for playing up and just being a class act for the last two years

As a parent with a senior who equally started for Lamar as a Junior, I just want to make sure Valle is recognized for having the heart, will and balls to allow us the honor to play them for the last two years. I put a lot of stock in my sons judgement of character and he stated that for another year this team came in, played their hearts out, and left nothing on the field, all the while doing it with class. Those who know me, certainly know I am not one to praise someone unless it is earned and I just want to make sure that Valle realizes this was not a waste of two years and this Lamar fan and, from those I know, all Lamar fans respect them for the great team the are, and wish them nothing but the best in their pursuit of another state championship this year.

SLUH FOOTBALL SCORES 1990-1998

Contacted SLUH several times about their football history with no reply. So found a old guide on E-bay that has scores 1916-1989 and already had 1999 to present, so needing scores for years 1990-1998 if anyone has them. CBC was of better help they have their info on the football website and can save it as a PDF. Slowing working on other Greater St Louis schools and leagues including across the river in Illinois. But anyone with info to share on present or defunct schools I would appreciates it.

Bozo copycapts not standing for the flag.

Interesting at the Kearney game to see the Raytown fans that sat during the National Anthem, didn't even bother to kneel. Just sat on their A$$es... And the Four people on their bench --in dress clothes that did the same thing. I'm glad to see who you are.. Now I know who not to hire or help you. Thanks for identifying yourselves as ingrates with no respect for anyone else. Really makes Raytown look good.

Cape - Jackson

Almost nobody from SEMO on the board. Things will pick up in about three weeks

I can mainly speak about Jackson or Cape Central. I can give a fans perspective. No real " inside the program" info.

Jackson @ Lindbergh, Lindbergh won

This week. Poplar Bluff @ Cape Central

Well we all knew what would happen

When the president decided to tweet on the subject of players not standing for the National Anthem. In London the first NFL game is already under way since he jumped in on this subject and nearly ALL players were kneeling and the coaches standing behind them with arms locked. I some what agree with Trump on this issue but he ALWAYS has to go waaaay overboard on stuff and it leads to this kind of reaction. Now he has dis-invited the NBA champs from the WH visit because a player says he won't go.
I get that people have the 'right to protest' something but when did that right extend to the work place? These guys can peacefully protest all they wan on their own time but they should NOT do it on the job where most are making millions of dollars to be there. I would bet the majority of americans think this is a TERRIBLE way to express your discontent about something that has NOTHING to with their job. What black man in the NFL has been treated so badly they feel the need to use their public forum to protest while ON THE JOB?!!!

Best/top thread you have ever read on MoSports

With all the best/top threads popping up, I thought it would be interesting to see everyones thoughts on this. There have been lots of; funny, insulting, trolling, and respectful threads over the years, certainly someone has some fond memories. My favorite thread is Top Doc Qb's! Not only is it hilarious, it holds the record for most replies!! I also really got a kick out of the Hit of the Game thread that Joey started after the Kearney-Webb City championship. Those comments were golden!!

The check defense is a some type of an eight man front

I've decided to be a liberal

My daughter is enrolled as a Jr in college. It has been a trying 2 years getting her to this point.
My daughter was explaining to me tonight how she was struggling with a certain class, and then it HIT ME, what the heck?

I told her to just riot, burn the GD town down, break windows, hit a cop with a brick, loot, pillage, blame everyone but herself, sue the school, contact the ACLU, the BLM ( they specialize in oppression), and accuse the school of bias, and gender discrimination .

This should do it.

Life is going to be a lot easier around here once we take personal responsibility out of the picture.

Thanks Dems, I'm all in.

Lutheran North

not picking against Lamar but Lutheran North wow beat a very good class
4 team MICDS tonight 55 to 7. Had 42 points at half. Their team speed is
off the charts. They have 2 d1 signees in the backfield and the other one is
a Junior who will sign d1 on def. They are huge and very quick in the line.
Perkins is maybe best dee lineman in the state. He has 41 dee 1 offers hope
he goes to Mizzou to be with his brother who is a safety there.. They can score
on any play I think they beat Trinity by 3 touchdowns in districts.

6 quarters quarters a week rule gone amok

New rule this year by MSHSAA is only allowing a player to play in six quarters a week. It is designed to limit players from playing 4 quarters in a varsity game and then playing another 4 quarters in a J-V game. I'm ok with that rule but I can see coaches not following it. There could also be some situations, especially in the lower classes, where a team may be vastly superior to an opponent and would want to put their J-V in by second quarter but wouldn't be able to if they had a J-V game the next Monday.

But the main problem with the rule is that if a varsity team played a game on Friday and then the next week played a game on Thursday they would be breaking the 6 quarter rule. MSHSAA has told those schools they would not be able to do that this year. They just made the rule this offseason and haven't given a grace period to change school's schedules. Again, I understand the reasoning, but MSHSAA isn't exercising common sense by enforcing it this season.

It won't effect lots of schools, but there are several schools in the suburbs and bigger cities that share stadiums that will have to change their schedules for this year. For example, Truman High School plays a game the second week on a Friday and then play their next varsity game the following Thursday. MSHSAA is telling them they have to change their schedule because of the new rule.
