Lamar @ Ava....Thoughts?

I don't know a thing about Ava other than a rumor that their conference is pretty good. I've heard that they're physical but undersized. True? I do know that Lamar is vulnerable in their oline & defensive backfield. The problem so far is that nobody that they've played has had the horses to take advantage. I thought Valle might be able but they turned out to be disinterested and puppy fur soft. Lamar is dang good as a whole. If Ava can low & fast off the ball & get the Lamar rbs before they get started, I think Ava could beat them.

While we are talking about fans...

I was told a good story and would like to know if it's true and if there is more to it.

As it was told, a loud mouth Webb fan (Can't imagine) was cussing the Ref because he didn't like a call Friday night vs CJ. Another Webb fan got in his grill and told him to sit down and shut up and if he heard any more cussing he'd knock the crap out of him. True or not?

Good for him if it's true? Anybody know the story? Maybe you are part of the story ?

Trinity vs Lutheran North District Title

LN is running very well from their wing-T and double wing. Very smart offensive philosophy switch by Coach Reed to take advantage of his backfield after losing a stud D1 WR and D1 QB last season. 3 of their 4 TDs scored by junior/Senior transfers.

Trinity opens the game with their score by a sophomore transfer who has national offers including Ohio State. Struggled early; very different offensively (spread) than LN, but has much more "home run" potential to score quickly. Has missed extra point and given up two gimmes not defending the swinging gate on two point conversions. Great game, great players in this one.

Class 6 transfer for Trinity w/ Ohio State offer just tied the game for Trinity.

33-33 going into the 4th Quarter.

What are your thoughts

Heard on the radio this morning that the Columbia Mo. Police Dept. was discontinuing the policy that required college degree's for it's officers. According to the report, the existing policy was getting them officers that didn't "look" like the people they served. The new policy is geared towards hiring more minorities.

Is this the direction we as a populous need to go? Requiring less education for our LEO's? Hiring based on race? Isn't this the very definition of racism?

Should standards be lowered so a certain group benefits?

As a whole, should we forget merit, and just go with race-based hiring?

What say you?

Dome!!

had some friends were in the dome in St Louis for band competition , said the field is still there with goal posts and everything still is intact

Wonder why the championships really had to be moved. I don't remember ticket prices in Springfield being any cheaper
