Pattonville Def coach what where you doing

I coached high school def for 24 years if you blitz 7 and they are in panic mode they
will dump it to the running back because your line backers are blitzing. They blitzed every time
the last series It made it so easy for Staley. Play with 6 dee backs give them the underneath
pass and you got 6 guys to tackle. Feel bad for the kids had that won and def design let the kids down.

not worth the drive

Would drive to Columbia to see championship games but class 3 will be the only competitive
game. Monroe will be Valle by at least 4 touchdowns, they are loaded and this an avg Valle team.

class 2 will be 35 at half. Lamar beat an all star team last week and will win by whatever
the coach allows this week.

Class 3 could be pretty good

Class 4 another blow out game. Ladue isn't a top 10 school in class 4.

Class 5 will really get bad quick. Staley is loaded and Pattonville is avg at best they got
this far because football in St. Louis area is way down

Webb will Turbo clock Ladue

Ladue is just like Lutheran North and Trinity. Lot of the players come from the city
through the bus program. They will have good athletes but not a system like Webb's. The 4A
competition in St, Louis is poor at best small numbers in most schools. They will run very few
things at Webb. Their lineman will be dominated just like Lamar did to Lutheran North. They will
make lots of mistakes and be forced to try to do things they can't. Their def line will get dominated
by Webb and they will have no clue on how to beat the veer. Teams they have beaten in St. Louis area would finish in the bottom of Webb conference. Shame Carl Junction had to be in the same district because they would beat Ladue. Lutheran North and Trinity would both beat Ladue so you can imagine what Webb is going to do to them. Webb 42 Ladue 7. Ladue will score on second team defense. What is really sad every championship game will be horrible. Monroe City will beat valle bad.
Lamer will have subs in by half time. Class 3 is the only game that might be close. Class 4 Webb will be up 35 by half. Staley will beat Pattonville by 50 easily, Pattonville is very average football is so bad in our Area around St. Louis a above average team can make a run.

Hats off to Platte County

One of the very few teams to come into Webb City and not be intimidated. They had all the confidence in the world, even to the last second. Great showing by them. In years past when Webb has a close semi game, the State game is a blowout win. Let’s hope for the same. Seeing ladue in person, the QB is not nearly as good as PC nor do they have a receiver like PC did. What a game, see you in Columbia!

2017 Show-Me Bowl the title hunt.

Worth County won its 7th 8-man title.

CBC won its 2nd Class 6 title.

Valle Catholic is seeking its 15th state title. While Monroe City looks to win its 3rd title.

Lamar will be going after its 7th straight title. As Lafayette County is seeking its 1st state title in school history.

Maryville will be playing for their 5th state title in program history. Mount Vernon is looking for their 2nd title in program history.

Webb City is seeking state title number 14 all-time. Laude Horton Watkins looks to become a 1st time champion.

The Staley Falcon go after the schools 2nd state title against Pattonville seeking its 1st state

If lamar played Lutheran North and Trinity 20 times they win 20 times

Being a long time football coach in St. louis schools like Trinity and Lutheran North are not
football programs that have a system for kids to come up in. They get kids that might be frosh, soph, junior or seniors they transfer there at any age. One running back that is a senior played at Hazelwood West last year, there wide receiver played at Vashon last year. Perkins played at Jennings 2 years ago. So there is no system they come up in. Lutheran North runs 3 plays Jet sweep, hard dive, and crossbuck. The QB only threw 44 passes all years. The 2 coaches are great men and they run the st.louis football club to help young men develop football skill and a lot of their players come out of that club. Don't be fooled by all the hype the only division 1 player on North was Perkins he is going to Oklahoma. The rest of so called div 1 players is because the coaches take these kids all over the Midwest in the summer and expose them to div1 coaches. One running back is going to Ark State he will never see the field. The other running back is going to Ball State he will never see the field either. The lineman at both schools are just big there is very little technique. So when you play against kids that are coached like Lamar and that strong; Lutheran North Lineman have no chance. I coached against them 4 times back in the late 1990's and early 2000's that didn't
need technique they just lined up and had much better athletes. But once you run into strong kids with a system they have run since grade school there is no chance. My only surprise was the score wasn't worse on a dry field Lamar score 21. So that was no where near an upset the better team won and will always beat Trinity and Lutheran North. If Lamar ever loses it will not be a 2A school from St. Louis field. Trinity has lot of decent players back doesn't matter they will win big against horrible small schools up here then get beat by Lamar. Lutheran North will need new kids for next year.

Some reasons Lockwood will pound Valle

1) They're playing with similar talent pools. Now that Lockwood has kids from 3 towns on its roster the main private school advantage is waived.

2) According to our friend counterallday the valle kids are soft and fold if you hit them. Lockwood will hit them.
3) In relation to 2, golden city is in barton county. Barton county is also the home of Lamar who trounced the warriors. Not just trounced but might have beaten valle worse than anyone in history. Barton county water makes for good football players. GC kids play for Lockwood. Buckle your chinstraps warriors.

Lockwood by 28.

Did some digging on State titles

We always talk about who has won championships and how many, but I wanted to do some research into who hasn't. It was eye opening to me the number of programs that have never won one.

Currently there's 325 programs playing 11 man football. 91 of those have won at least one. So, only 28% of current programs have a state title in football.

When you break it down by current Class, some other interesting numbers come up.

Class 1 - 23 of 63 have won at least one - 36.5%
Class 2 - 9 of 61 have won at least one - 14.8%
Class 3 - 20 of 63 have won at least one - 31.7%
Class 4 - 16 of 64 have won at least one - 25%
Class 5 - 9 of 44 have won at least one - 20.5%
Class 6 - 14 of 32 have won at least one - 43.8%

There are 18 programs that no longer exist, have dropped to 8-man, or were renamed/co-op into another program that have also won at least one 11 man state title:

DeLaSalle
Tarkio
University High (Warrensburg)
St Mary's (Independence)
Hazelwood
Southwest (KC)
North Shelby
Sumner
Parkwood (Joplin)
Memorial (Joplin)
Greenfield
Hardin-Central
O'Hara
Greenwood
Rock Port
South Holt
North Nodaway
Nodaway/Holt

Perhaps there's a situation or two from above that the evolved program claims one of these, but I am unaware of those situations and threw them out of the analysis.

Again, I'm a little shocked that 234 programs have never won a state title. Additionally, 183 programs have never even played for a state title. That's 56.3%. Mind blowing. More to come...

MSU fans..or lack of!

This may have been discussed and I just missed it, but is it truly lack of wins that is the problem at MSU? I've been to games at Rolla where they hadn't had a winning season in years but they had a good crowd supporting them. Just wondering how a town the size of Springfield only has a handful of fans in the crowd.
