Beginning this week all who dropped the course will not post. Now we are really in the home stretch........................Week 8 will break what I was hoping to hold as form but we've had a no-GOTW one before but this will be different as there are TWO huge 7-0 vs. 7-0 8-man games both will appear as will a huge KC metro rivalry for NWCMO and the out of region is intersectional (considered the Orchard Farm-Warrenton game but thought it looked one sided based on schedules) between two huge C2 contenders.

There will also only be 15 games this week all posting tomorrow morning contesting Friday night so the entry deadline is again 7 PM that evening with stats to appear that night once all scores are confirmed. I have decided to stop "reaching" for some games and NO more "sucker bets" will appear moving forward. GOOD LUCK everyone!

Just got word from Lutheran North that coach Wagner will be suspended for the final 3 games of the regular season as well as the one game of the postseason. This was in response to avoid postseason ban for the football program. Story with a statement from North to come

Topic came up the other day. Someone thought this had changed. Do 4/5 still have a “play in” game to see who plays 1?

This one is a dandy with three of the top 5 ranked teams. It should be fun to see who makes it out and into the playoffs.

Rock Bridge (2-1) vs. Capital City (3-0) - Cap city seems to be a pretty good team but I just don't see them beating Rock Bridge. Gotta prove it to me I guess.

Helias (3-0) at Camdenton (2-1) - Not a big private school fan (ik, shocker) so rooting for camdenton but I'd be very surprised if they pull this one off.

Battle with whoever it is they co-op with cause who cares (0-3) vs. Hickman (0-3) - a game for the ages!!

Everybody advanced from last week.

I pick the Archie Whirlwinds

The spot of the ball with less than a minute left and the subsequent review verifying that call when the runner for NIU clearly had a first down shows an obvious fix was in on the game. Then they messed up the clock on the review allowing ND to keep its timeout to give them time for a chance to win the game.

Even with the gifts, they showed they aren’t worthy of the playoffs once again.

There was a wide spread in the weekly standings which caused a big shuffle in the overall standings.

Tad & MoSooner tied for first with Top not far behind in 3rd. After that, 4th-8th are all separated by a game between each finish.
The standings seem a little spread out, but all it takes is one bad week for someone near the top to fall back into the middle of the pack.
Been trying to put up at least 18 games a week for picking.

The all-important overall standings coming right up!

Saturday game

Missouri Westen goes to Warrensburg and beats the Mules 38-28. Tyler Carey had 6 catches for 178 yards and 3 TDs. Berwald threw for 379 and 4 TDs.

Mules were ranked second in the nation after week 2.

Anthony Thompson and Larry Porter show. Thompson has 2 rec TDs, 2 rushing tds and probably 10 tackles for Fort and Porter has 2 TDs and 150 yds receiving for Raytown.

Fort just lost their starting QB who was the 2nd string QB at beginning of year. The original starting QB who broke his wrist in week 1 is now back and playing cornerback playing with a cast.

Raytown will cause problems at districts if the team has a weak secondary. Porter is a high D1 talent. 6'3 and much faster than I expected.

Again what a fun experience in Wildwood MO on an immaculate night! As of this moment, with two games playing this afternoon, carthagefan2006 is the only one to 20 pts. (perfect so far is 23!) with a few others in tow (including Bosko how did that happen?).
