I saw a political ad for Mike Hamra. During the political ad, Mike said he is from SW MO and it showed a picture of him in his HS football jersey. The jersey was silver and red or maroon.

Does anyone know where he played his high school ball it? Maybe Nixa? Was he any good?

I saw that bot posts got removed. So just to see how extensive the cleanup was I reviewed some of my blocks on those bots and those users either bot blocked or banned by Rivals as those profiles are not unavailable. I decided then to check a few other Rivals forums sites, same result, gone.


So the unthinkable has happened. They are gone and blocked. Only way for them to return is to create new accounts and post threads if that was left as an available option to those people. Of course if they looked at the ip locations and did a better block then it could keep them away for longer but that is less likely.

So with that you have your forums back.

Have your tried to reach out to any Mods of other groups to see if you can be assigned Moderator of this forum? Maybe even another state, I thought about trying that, like Husker rivals anything.

I stumbled into other forums yesterday trying to Google my way back here because I got the "Bad Gateway" a few times. Then I would inevitably see random spam attacks. This Cornhusker guy actually had a response that appeared to come from Rivals. It appears fixed Fingers Crossed

As most of you know, MoSports has been, and appears to still be, getting hit with a major bot attack of drug dealers. I think all of us have been asking ourselves the question, 'Who is responsible for this nonsense!?' Well, I've gathered up some suspects that might be worth looking at.

This list is NOT in order of who I think is most guilty. My suspects are;

1. Bosko - I think this one is obvious. We all pick on him. His wife allegedly left him. He mysteriously disappears every summer and would have the time to organize this attack. He also claims to have some shady connections with his booster club and business dealings.
2. Rawmeat - Now you're probably wondering why I have a MoSports institution on my list. RawMeat_III posted, for the first time in a very long time, only a day or two before the attack. He has since gone suspiciously quiet again. He has had several usernames banned before, at seemingly no fault of his own. So he has motive.
3. The old MoSports Mod Guy - I think his name was Bill Gunn? Many years ago, he attempted to create another MoSports site, that no one took to. Rivals seems to have deleted his life's work in one simple keystroke. So a massive bot attack would kill two birds with one stone! Get revenge on Rivals AND us for not following him to the poor man's MoSports.
4. Rivals/Yahoo - Yes, the company behind this very site. Why? The source that drives every business decision. Money!! What a better way to force users to sign up for a paid subscription than flood their message boards? This would drive everyone to 'The Jungle'. The exclusive message board for paid members only. Thus not having to deal with the bots.

Thoughts? Who are your suspects?

So I woke up to three pages of bot threads. I did a quick glance at the other forums. Those do not appear to have new bot threads.

Hopefully this is a short lived attack.

Update: I went and checked a few of the joined dates on these new threads. Most joined in early July 2024. But at least one joined back in 2020! So my theory is that these were existing bot accounts already on MoSports. Probably ones I haven't hit 'ignore' on yet.

Serious decisions need to be made

If we cannot get this fixed I guess we can move here.

Heading to one of them 92 HWY schools today

I think this is going to be a real good game, Can I see it it being a 3 td victory for both sides absolutely its HS Football and both are really good teams where if one is not there giving it their all then its lop sided.

Webb got a big boost getting one of their top 2 RB's back Their offense depends on a lot of motion, confusion, and misdirection. They will be playing a team where the Defense has been their biggest question mark of the season. That defense had grown a lot and it showed in the 1st half last week shutting out a very good Platte County Spread offense. It goes without saying but Webb is a different beast on Offense and the GV defense will have to step it up and get a few stops for their team to have a chance. On defense Webb hasn't given up more than 28 points in a game all year and they are going to have to keep up that trend. They face a team that can attack in many different ways and has 2 big and fast RB's, A QB with a great arm and good speed. The WR Corp last week dropped multiple passes that would have changed the score and tune of the game. They have to step it up this week and catch the passes that hit their hands. Another item from last week that was glaring is that GV hasn't had to play 4 quarters in a long time and it showed. I have always been an advocate of not running up the score and getting young guys playing time but last week has my opinion wavering. GV has to come ready to play 4 quarters or it gets ugly in the 2nd half.

Final thoughts on outcome I want GV to win obviously but they have to play all 4 quarters, If Webb starts slow as they have done in several games this year GV has to jump all over that and build a lead.
If both teams show up and show out I can see the winner being the team who scores last. If one team comes out and doesn't play every play of the game, then we have a 3 td win going the opposite way.

Prediction: I will not predict the winner I will say this If there is a 2+ turnover advantage that team wins. Other than that this game is wide open for who is more disciplined and more hungry.

45 years ago today the Kansas City Chiefs defeated the Minnesota Vikings in Super Bowl IV. The last championship game played before the merger. It was also the first Champions game between the NFL-AFL to be promoted as the Super Bowl. The first 3 games were called the World Championship Game.
