And just like that into the final third of the regular season (weather again looks unseasonably warm and dry next Friday-Saturday) we go! This week, outside a couple of huge unbeaten GOTW battles, looks and feels very Week 5. In seasons like this where especially the largest classes are very "top heavy" you won't see some of those again until well into the Playoff Challenge. Picks are due by 7 PM FRIDAY plus the scoreboard will appear Saturday as my current plan is to drive over to Wildwood MO to see the OOR GOTW in person. GOOD LUCK everyone................

The State of MoSports

Well, preppys. Like I said on Friday. I was taking the weekend off and gonna re-evaluate on Monday. Bottom line, it's bad. Very bad. The bots are no longer just posting about drugs. But many other things. Some now have profile pictures. One even followed @thetophat2021 !!

So that brings us to next steps. @cardsfan200306 made a back up site. If this doesnt stop, we might have to move there. We could also move to another forum on MoSports. Certainly this has to stop at some point??

In the meantime, I'll still battle the bots as much as I can.

Mountain Home(AR)

The Bombers haven’t finished over .500 since 2006.
Currently they are 4-1 with 5 weeks to go in the regular season.
They’ve got a tough road ahead, but it would be pretty cool to see Steve Ary pull another program out of the cellar.

The Bombers were 7-66 overall in the 7 years before Ary took the reins with 3 winless campaigns in that time frame.

So far Ary has had two .500 seasons with bombers as his best finishes in his 5 years at the helm, including 2 playoff wins.

Will year 6 be their year?

Fun fact, I found an online source that has Kickapoo playing Mountain Home in 2001, with the Chiefs being victorious by a score of 20-17

Mountain Home would finish that season 5-5 and the Chiefs would finish that year 9-3 that year under the direction of ole Thompson, losing in the state playoffs to Jeff City by 5, the other 2 losses for the Chiefs that year were a 10 point loss to Hillcrest and an 11-point loss to Ozark.
The Poo played games against teams from 3 different states that year.

Hillcrest would finish 9-2 losing to Poplar Bluff in the regular season, beating WP by 4 in districts and losing to Poo in playoffs by 22 after beating them in the regular season.
