The difference in toughness alone was vastly different. Don’t think they needed him in that game or others who are still slowly playing more minutes.

But yes, having an all state class 2 QB/DB back was helpful. He still didn’t play on defense. But the progression to being healthy is almost there.

Staley upset Park Hill last night. They seem to have really dropped since beating what I still think is a very good Rock Bridge in 3 OT to open 2024.

Again sorry for what seem to be an inordinate number of schedule/score result issues so far this season I waited on all this week's to post on MSHSAA plus do want to address, in brief, the missed upsets. Those are simply going to happen the only alternative is "throwing pasta on the wall" i.e. listing pretty much all the games which is not what I do. No way this will ever be perfect just challenging. ON to Week 4 I have already selected another TWO DOZEN games which will appear tomorrow morning. GOOD LUCK everyone and congrats, again, on the job everyone did this week!

Statistically one of the best weeks in the history of this contest as only TWO games went bonus/deduction out of 24 (apologies again for the SE game) with only NINE players getting a single deduction (nobody lost both but one did pick Olathe North solos are deducted) which translates to an incredible 1.44% deduction rate.

No but I don’t think they are going away anytime soon. It’s just a different reality now then when a lot of people I know moved into the district in the early 2010s when Webb city was the biggest baddie in class 4 and the other coc schools were smaller and not nearly as good as they are now.

What is happening right now is exactly what several people told me they feared for this season, they get hurt playing these big schools and lose games and people, especially the move-in dads start pointing fingers wanting it fixed because their kids aren’t getting the Webb city football experience they sold their house and made their wife move for.

The question is how many years of not winning a state title will it take to stop the move ins. With social media your kid can be discovered anywhere

Was chatting with classmate with whom I attended last night about all the K teams winning (fill in the blank) Grade Super Bowls in Grain Valley last fall. Doggone won't see any of it anymore nephew's little boy isn't out for FB this year.
