If you live in CJ, I could 100% understand them asking you to send your kids to school there 🤣🤣🤣
We haven't had a clean sheet since 2011 you all came close this difficult week!Great week @Boogie_Mane
A bolt of lightning indeed!Halfway through the regular season by Wednesday how damn crazy
My son goes to webb now I bet him and I have been asked to get him in cj 20 times in the last year. Maybe because we live there but idk I guess cj recruits tooI went to CJ in the early 90s and the best athlete in my grade was asked to move to Webb. I am sure it was someone not technically affiliated with the school but it happened.
how did he do at webb?I went to CJ in the early 90s and the best athlete in my grade was asked to move to Webb. I am sure it was someone not technically affiliated with the school but it happened.
Also CJ and Webb saw a lot of people move after the JoMo tornado. Some had no choice and some just took advantage of the real estate market.CJ is set up nicely with the entire portion of western Jasper County. The farmland is good money- making ground, and we can’t forget the richer housing areas. It has an excellent tax base to draw from.
3rd and 10 and cook throws a pass zero yards downfield and gets sacked on 4th down giving Vandy a FG with 8 seconds left. This team has issues.
These rankings ain't worth shit, repub is living off last year and has beat noone yet, same with pius no way they have earned 3 in C5 by beating small schoolsRepublic?
What's it take to make it happen ill root for Kearney in that one lolI’ve attended all of the class 1 thru 6 championships for some time. I think 2006 with a few scattered in before. There have been several where I thought the C4 champ was better than the C5 champ. That includes a couple Kearney teams!!
It appears this year’s Bulldog team would be competitive with any C5 team as well. I know Ritter is loaded, but I’d travel and pay to see a matchup between them and Kearney, and be rooting’ for the dogs all the way!!
You act like the truth matters to mshsaa. This crap is still being said? I remember moving from webb to another town my sophomore year I constantly had kids telling me webb recruits my response was always they must be good at evaluating young talent because those kids rolling through the playoffs are the same ones I played with in the 3rd grade
It amazes me that as much hate as webb has gotten not one kid that was recruited and turned them down has told mshsaa about it

You'll really like it when Mizzou finally loses!!I like it when teams come out ready to play and bury an inferior team. I also like teams that can complete a ball 20+ yards downfield vs a mediocre secondary.
Agreed, that's the main reason my daughter went to school at CJ. We live in West Joplin but in the CJ school district. Great Academic school.People move their kids to CJ for academics...not sports
You do plenty of crying for all of us.You laugh to keep from crying.
Good, succinct, first hand observations comment.Disclaimer: I’ve probably stated this before. I moved to WC in 1993, really only because of the right house bargain. Married. No kids at the time. Came from and played for a small community that has never sniffed a state football championship. I was amazed at WC’s success. Since my arrival, titles in 1997, 2000, 2001, 2006, 2008, it seemed to be the expectation in the fan base to win one every year. In 2009, WC ran into an excellent Kearney team. In 2010 I recall talking to Coach Rods brother, who had a son on the team, about my experience and the unreal expectation placed on his brother and players. I stated winning a title every year is just not realistic and an unfair burden placed on this 2010 team. As you know now , they went on to win 5 straight, included in the championships of 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2017, 2019 and 2021. Absolutely crazy from my perspective. I say all this because I’ve grown to love this town, not just football. My kids both went all their years here. There has been significant turnover on both the superintendent role (none better than Dr. Lankford) and football head coach (no need to explain). However, I believe this blue collar community still has high expectations. Coach Mac will be given a fair opportunity. But in the end, if expectations are not met, changes will be made. It won’t be personal, but no one person is above the good of the program. The speak of Webb City football’s total demise is, in my opinion, total balderdash.
Shout out to my old friends I still see posting on here. Beat writer, miss seeing you at games, the website and podcasts. Best wishes.
I check in often but haven't posted in a while. I guess that long winded rant makes up for it.
