Curious, what is the best game to pay for this Friday and Saturday?

Chance Wistrom, the older brother of Grant and Tracey, was head coach at Seneca at that time. Tracey was drafted in the spring 2002 NFL Draft as a tight end out of Nebraska by Tampa Bay.
Been a loooooong time all of a sudden, thanks. Dad and I were down at Webb City for the C4 semi the day Platte County beat Seneca they kept announcing the score said a Wistrom was HC all this fuzzy memory can bring back now LOL.

Lots of family etc. ties to Platte City not gonna bore everyone with it all just suffice to say I agree with you wholeheartedly it is a very nice town and the school and fans, by and large, are very knowledgeable and respectful.

This is a (real) fun bunch to watch and keep in mind as you witness this one Friday night the core of this team is JUNIORS so they really are one year ahead of the curve (remind me a lot of 2002 Kearney).

I had to go back and look at some history ... from 1999-2002, Platte County had to go through the Big 8 Conference three times in four years to get to the state championship game. Aurora in 1999 which won 14-0 at Pirate Stadium (has Platte County been shut out at home since that game?), they beat Kansas City O'Hara in the 2000 semifinals, Carl Junction 36-6 at Bulldog Stadium in 2001 and then the Seneca victory in 2002.

The 2002 semifinal game started out as an air raid for Platte County ...

BO vs Hallsville

Not really a legitimate argument against what he argued. Getting a division one athlete at a Blair Oaks sized school is near impossible. That does not mean that they do not have better athletes than 90% of their competition (which they do). Great coaching is what gets them the other 10%. To say it's because of coaching that they blow out Boonville, for example, is comical. They win by 30 because of the athletes but win by 45 because they are coached better than the other team. It's not the X's and O's, it's the Jimmys and Joes. That's just the reality of it and anyone who says otherwise is kidding themselves.
Well your a Truman dawg, look at Truman State, which currently is also known to most of Central Missouri as Blair Oaks North. Several of the current members of Truman State came from BO and they all are producing well up there in Kirksville.

BO vs Hallsville

1x Division 1 Football signing ever (and few D2) for the BO football program tells me it might not always be about the Jimmy and Joes.
Its the complete culture and everyone is bought in. Brought up with the same plays and same mentality from a very young age with coaches fully involved in teaching the game and the culture from that age all the way through high school. Additionally because those students bought in that pushes their underclassman and then their underclassman the traditions and legacy and they all want to live up to it as they see first hand the results over and over again.

You do get lucky with a few talented individuals back and forth with the same family playing QB for basicly 10 years and some of another being all WRs / RBs / and CBs for about a decade as well. It truely is a family afair. The younger kids not only want to play with their friends abut they want to be good if not better than what their brother was before he graduated. That is a culture that produces endless results at a high level.
