Twas an honest question.

To be serious for a moment, imagine this team in Class 2. Say what you want about em, MSHSAA got the success factor idea right. I say take it a step further and add criteria for a 3rd bump, if they are so resistant to separation.
Heck, why have classes at all?

Throw them all into a giant 300+ team tournament and let God sort ‘em out, I say.

Poo/Neosho?

Pretty solid W for Neosho. That at least gets them in the conversation for that next grouping of teams not named Nixa in the COC. A big pack of Webb, Carthage, Republic, Joplin, Leb, and Neosho.
Glad for Neosho. Someone may post all the scores but I think the old OC is still being rudely welcomed to their new conference. I think they are O’fer in the COC.
Neosh downs Poo.
Willard beat Glendale.
Joplin over Lebanon (going to be ok though)
Republic ran over Waynesville.
Also Branson beat Camdenton easily

Lamar??

Injuries for a small school can be devastating. Lamar has been without Wilkerson for both games. He is a differance maker on both sides of the ball. Could play some next week vs Tipton. Also, their top wide reeiver/defensive back is out vs East Newton. And their best running back was out last week and played just a few snaps against East Newton. They should be better once those three players are back to full strength. The game against McDonald Co was 32-14 with 20 seconds remaining. Gave up 15 points on back to back plays in the final seconds.

This Lamar team has a lot of room for improvement. Don't write them off just yet. By playoff time, they could be a tough draw for anyone in Class 2.

Cantwell High school 55. Webb 21

Good lord there are some ignorant people on this board. Do you actually not know what the word “amazing” means???

Cantrel is about 6’8” tall and weighs around 300 pounds. With his size and weight it is not amazing that he can throw a steel ball 70’,,,,,,now if he was 5’9” and 140 pounds then it would be truly amazing if he could throw 70’.

If he could pole vault 19’ that would be truly AMAZING

With his size it is not amazing at all he is a decent lineman at the high school level. Again if he was 5’9” and 140 pounds and got a scholarship to a college as a lineman THAT would be truly AMAZING

There is nothing wrong with you being ignorant,,,that just means you have never been educated. Go back to school and work on it and you will get it someday

I think the success factor is a huge success and has fairly leveled the playing field for public vs private. Just my opinion.

Fort Osage 21 - Belton 0

That’s not true they were missing Peppers and the Lineman that got kicked out…. And their QB but I think 15 is going to start regardless if 2 gets healthy by end of season. He just throws it better and is a decent runner

Shrum can chuck it a mile. Definitely some college potential. Needs to take the easy passes once in a while. He looked to be wanting to throw deep ball every play
I was told the starting Center is still recovering from a summer injury and also a senior WR and the starting running back from last week was out. That's why Thompson was used at RB. I agree on QB situation.
I've been hoping to see Thompson on offense. Hopefully these D1 coaches that have their heads up their a.. will wake up.
They've now seen it on offense and defense. That young man is a credit to the game of football.

Nixa at Webb City ...

Alright, we’ll see this year then. But you consistently hate on Carthage, it’s comical. Be miserable somewhere else.
I can vouch that in Jasper County, even happy people hate on Carthage. Some of it does involves having to laugh at the town, they make it easy. Of course, it’s not necessarily because of football though, but autumn Friday nights do give added opportunity. Of course, their fans are irritating at their home games; can’t even zipper merge out of that poorly designed parking lot at Haffner Stadium and the high school. While frustrating at the moment, we chuckle about it later. As for Webb, we’ll see which course they take this year. They’ll either repeat a 2021-like performance, or they won’t. Life will go on either way, and as my Ag Teacher said in high school, Carthage will continue to be hysterical even more than historical.

We can’t even get Class 5 privates to finish games with class 4 publics. The last thing we need is a 3 class bump. It just wouldn’t be fair. 🤣🤣🤣

How dare you use your public school education to correct him.
