The Zizzer Stadium has successfully passed all insurance inspections. Some lighting required repairs, but thanks to the quick work of Meade Electric of West Plains, we’re ready to host the Zizzer Football District Semi-Finals as scheduled on Friday night at 7:00 p.m. In case of any changes, the game will be relocated to Mountain Grove.
Please note, per postseason MSHSAA guidelines, passes are not accepted at this game (no staff, booster, OZH, senior citizens, or student IDs). Admission for spectators aged 6 and above is $6.00.

WP has been practicing in Mtn Grove all week, I know that much.

The field in WP sits in a valley and is susceptible to flooding.

I remember when WP got turf for the first time, it flooded within 2-3 years and had to get brand new turf lol. I wonder if they’ll be looking at their 3rd artificial surface in a decade LOL.

Yeah the football field and softball fields at WP are really in a horrible spot. But nothing they can do about it now but keep fixing/rebuilding when these floods happen.

I have wondered if they will ever get any push back from insurance with their location. I am sure insurance is not thrilled with covering a place that they know is going to flood pretty often.

Hills be darned I think US 63 eventually goes four full lanes all the way between West Plains and Jonesboro one fine day. It is the expressway between Kansas City and Memphis. It will all come down to Ravenden and Imboden Arkansas land owners, though!
