The economy continued to improve under Trump until COVID happened. I don't care who was president during that, the economy was going to get worse. Every economy in the world was effected by COVID and you act like the US was just going to carry on like normal not effect them. Did the GDP go up under Trump?

I don't necessarily agree with his stance on Tariffs. They are a complicated topic because the the intent is good, keeping jobs in America, but also not realistic. People vote to raise minimum wage and companies have to pay workers more just to get applicants that they can't afford the labor compared to other countries. Like most other things, there are trickle down effects from one thing to the other.

When Trump inherited Obama’s economy which had grown moderately and steadily for years, Conservatives in Congress and many economists advised him not to cut taxes during that time of prosperity. They told him it would lead to inflationary pressures.
So your saying the Chair of the Federal Reserve and the 12 board members with 2 appointed by the new President have minimal effect on the economy..... Most economic studies show that Presidents greatly effect the GDP growth in their first two years. I'd say deregulation will go into effect by his 2nd year in as will some of the tax cuts and breaks.
