The economy continued to improve under Trump until COVID happened. I don't care who was president during that, the economy was going to get worse. There is no one-to-one ratio of presidential policy to economic performance. It is a factor, of course, but, as anyone who has done even a first year undergraduate class on economics would tell you, it's not a significant factor in the short-term and even then it's only indirect in the long-term. I know that this doesn't fit a simple worldview, but not much actually does.

I don't necessarily agree with his stance on Tariffs. They are a complicated topic because the the intent is good, keeping jobs in America, but also not realistic. People vote to raise minimum wage and companies have to pay workers more just to get applicants that they can't afford the labor compared to other countries. Like most other things, there are trickle down effects from one thing to the other.

In our industry the cost for American made fittings are substantially more than foreign made. Therefore most people use foreign unless we have to be BAA or BABA compliant. Which BABA is getting pushed more and more.

No. It showed what many Americans think of politicians on the left. Americans love many of their policies though, as evidenced by all the passed ballot measures not to mention the vast majority of polls on the subject. When you don't put the word "Democrat" or "liberal" or "Republican" or "conservative" on a question/policy, it turns out that people are surprisingly rational about what they actually believe/want.

And yes, I got back on here to watch you and Toots cry your tears of doom and gloom. It's been a bad year for Tootsie, Chiefs win the Super Bowl and currently undefeated, Trump wins the election. There's no reason to argue with either you or Toots. Your minds are made up and you won't listen to any other opinion. That is why I got off of here.

It doesn't matter what Trump does in the next 4 years, you all will never say it was good or if it was good you will say it was someone else. Why not just hope that our country improves regardless of who is in office.
