Webb @ Camdenton

Their retired line coach, bob shores line coach, called them hogs. They put it on turf as an honor to them. Being an old lineman I think it is very cool deal.

That was coach Perch (sp) and he called them Pappy's hogs. One of the first high school coaches I knew to glamorize a line position. All considered it a high honor to be one of Pappy's hogs.
Someone from Camdenton can maybe correct and/or elaborate.

Take away Camdentons qb and they finish .500 in the coc . However , that kid is a stud . He is a master at getting out of pressure . Looked like Fran Tarkenton out there ....if he was more willing to just take off and run it would have been more of a nightmare to defend .

That might be the final nail in the coffin. Camdenton is way better than I expected them to be but their QB just kind of ran out of gas in the 2nd half. Great game

With a healthy backfield WC is putting things together. The Camdenton QB made some big plays early but without him this game would have got out of hand pretty quickly. He should be a good one at the next level.

He looked so slow, yet was incredibly elusive. Could have had another TD or 2 with some field awareness (illegal forward passes while scrambling).

Will he play at the next level? I've been led to believe that baseball (pitcher) is where he really shines.

That's what I thought, he seemed to leave a lot of yards on the field looking for someone to throw to instead of just taking off.

He was also really creative ...different throwing angles ...running forwards then backwards ...jump passes ect . He was Mahomes ish with his creativity. Wasn't impressed with the Lakers ..but was impressed with him

He didn’t want to take a hit at all. On their first series he did a hook slide and gave himself up without a Webb defender within 5 yards of him

Vinny Testerverde looked slow too but was a beast to tackle when you got there.

QB was outstanding. That’s all they had. Once He started limping, that took away his running threat.

That’s basically the story. Pappy made it cool to be a lineman, and could coach line play with the best of them. He, along with Coach Bob Shore and Coach Silverwood (d-coordinator) we’re together for something like 30 yrs I think. Crazy to think about in today’s landscape.

Was talking with some buddies last night. Think he has preferred walk-on at Mizzou and Wisconsin maybe. Was talk of Arky St but don’t think they offered. Had offers from Mo Southern and Emporia maybe??? Evangel was mentioned too. The cold and wet did a number on my memory, so might not be 100% accurate.

I was extremely disappointed in the way camdenton chose to defend the option. And from what I've heard the qb really likes mo southern

If he's going for baseball he'll be fine at Southern. If going for Football it's gonna be a long college career
