Versailles leaving Tri-County for Ozark Highlands

Cards returns!!!

Centralia and Fulton joining Tri County would not surprise me. Hoping all of this resolves soon so that the conference as well as each school can plan approiately with scheduling for the upcoming school year(s).

Fulton school board voted 7-0 to ask to join the Tri-County. Centralia is awaiting approval to join as well.
I am not a fan. I know the ADs will probably love this, but this would only leave one non conference game in football.

Centralia's HC tells me he's heard nothing about this...if it was true you'd think he would be in the loop.
I can’t see Centralia leaving the CCC for the Tri-County. Maybe they’d go to the NCMC if Macon comes too, as long as Hannibal moves on.

Fulton did not receive enough votes by the Tri-County schools in favor of them joining.

My understanding is the NCMC had an emergency meeting early this week. I don’t have details of what took place but I think it has to do with Fulton remaining in the conference for now and possible moves towards expansion.

New conference: Harrisburg, Fayette, Russellville, Linn, South Callaway, New Bloomfield, and Eugene.
All about the same size school.
Does this mean Eugene & New Bloomfield are getting football?

I’ve heard rumors but nothing concrete. My understanding is New Bloomfield is going to start up a youth program in the next year or two.

I think this also confirms Salisbury, Westran and Scotland County are going 8 man in ‘24 to keep the Lewis and Clark together.

New Bloomfield, Linn, South Callaway, Eugene and Harrisburg school board minutes confirm this. Question I have what happens to Fatima and St. Elizabeth. I would assume Tuscumbia and Chamois heads to the Cooper County League, which for them would be the right move. Fatima is the slam dunk choice for the Tri-County, but no football means no invite due to the conference by laws as football is one of the sports you must sponsor. They might be stuck as an indy. St. E where do they go? Enrollment wise they are small. Athletics wise they are powerhouse Class 1. Do they stay indy? Go south to the Frisco where they don't really match up school wise. Go east to the Gasconade? Or the Cooper County?

I thought I heard that Tuscumbia, Chamois, and St E are keeping the ShowMe name and inviting the CCAA schools like Jamestown, Calvary, & Bunceton/PHome co-op in. Fatima go independent?
