I’m ok with the 2 class bump and I think Valle is going to bump to class 3 once in a while. I think things are starting to settle with the championship factor though I hear it will be tweaked after this season.
As long as they don't change the Championship Factor, Valle will probably fluctuate between Class 2 and 3 off and on. Could potentially have some years in Class 1 if they don't have any success in Class 2 but I doubt that.OK Stag. I'm under a different name too.
I believe under the new system Valle will settled in at Class 2 eventually. Back when the multiplier was used which didn't move Valle out of Class 1 and Valle was dominating Class 1, most Valle fans I know agreed they should be in Class 2 from a competitive standpoint.
I understand the fact that under the new system it penalizes highly successful programs, but I do think it is the fairest system MSHSAA has used to date. I didn't agree with Valle or anybody else being bumped up 2 classes when the new system went in effect. One bump would have put them in Class 2 and there is good competition for them in Class 2.
They won't lose in class 2 districts. As long as they don't change the Championship Factor, Valle will probably fluctuate between Class 2 and 3 off and on. Could potentially have some years in Class 1 if they don't have any success in Class 2 but I doubt that.
Don’t worry. Park Hills Central takes out BO in the quarter final this year!Maryville is extremely good so YES Blair will be a very serious threat to repeat even moving up in class.
Eyeballing that Eastern MO team indeed! Hillsboro also appears to be a C4 contender over that way............Don’t worry. Park Hills Central takes out BO in the quarter final this year!

No, no, no…it’s all about just working harder than everyone else.what has given valle the 'edge' over the years has been their ability to keep a low enrollment and pull kids from a class 4 talent pool while competing in smaller classes.
Maybe so. I mean they lift weights at 8 am.No, no, no…it’s all about just working harder than everyone else.
Does anybody else have nearly 100% attendance everyday?Maybe so. I mean they lift weights at 8 am.
Does anyone else in the state do that?
Our boys do.Does anybody else have nearly 100% attendance everyday?

The truth is Valle doesn't have anywhere close to 130 kids in high school. The last time the number was around that high was 2019-2020 when they were listed by MSHAA as having about 145, but that was with the 1.35 multiplier. According to MSHAA they had 105 in 20-21 school year, 104 21-22, 116 22-23 and 99 this year. They had one of their largest Senior classes in a few years graduated last year 41 students. I believe it was 28 boys and 13 girls. That leaves 75 students in the other 3 classes. This year their listed as having 99 total by MSHAA. So, unless some of those who attended last year left the total freshman class would be about 24. A large percentage of the boys do play football and there were 54 on their roster last year, this year it's 48. The Senior and Junior class are probably close to being 50/50 girls & boys. But because only 4 Sophomore boys are listed on their roster, I would say that class is predominantly girls. There are 19-20 freshmen on their roster, which leads me to believe this class is mostly boys. Yes, a lot of the surnames are the same through the years but that's pretty common in most areas. I have family with my surname playing sports at St Vincent and PHS. I would say them playing in Class 2 is about where they belong! But people will argue that all day long, it is what it is. I'm in my 70s and mostly just like to read post about how teams are doing across the state. Nothing better as far as I'm concerned than high school sports! They have around 130 kids in the school 9-12. If you figure 1/2 are girls that leaves 65 boys. MSHSAA says they have 54 on their roster. Does any other school in the state have 83% of boys in school playing football?
That's because MSHSAA dropped the multiplier and added the success factor for the 20-21 school year. Also starting in 20-21 they only counted 3 grades instead of all 4, so what you see on MSHSAA now is 3 grades. So Valle probably does have around 130 in their high school, some years a little more and some years a little less. The truth is Valle doesn't have anywhere close to 130 kids in high school.
