Undefeated Lamar at Undeafted Cassville.

No clue so i checked the computer.

2018] Cassville (MO) 31, [2018] Lamar (MO) 28

I don’t know either but plan on being in Barry County next week (early) to hopefully see a great game.

The loser of this game could be playing for their respective state title a few weeks later.

I agree with Cards. Lamar will not have an easy path to the state championship. Districts shouldn't be too much of a hurdle, but after that it could be tough going.
Who’s tougher than LN? Lathrop? CC Macon? It’s not a discredit to these teams. They just play each other. A possible 5 way tie to a conference is not impressive to me. They are equally decent.

Cassville's coaching staff is the best they have had in years. They have the boys focused on the task in hand. I would say Cassville in a great battle by 14

My brain says this year is the end of the win streak AND the title streak (hope I’m wrong :()

As for whether the win streak ends this week or in the playoffs, I’d say this week based on what I’ve out of Cassville

...but then again, people have been predicting ‘this is the week!” for years and Lamar keeps proving them wrong :D

I've seen both this year and I believe Cville by 2 TDs. Cville for the first time since their state championship teams have a passing game. I think and again it is my opionion only this Cville offense is as good if not better than in 08 or 09 teams. The Defense is getting better every game and may not be quite as good as those teams but they show signs. Should be a awesome game but gotta say Cville ends the streak. However I could be wrong just my 2 cents worth.

I’ve seen both play. I live in Cassville. I know this is shameful to some? But I enjoy watching both teams play. If I didn’t have ties to Cassville I wouldn’t have such troubles saying this. But why is everyone assuming Lamar is down enough they will not only lose to Cassville? But lose in the playoffs. I feel some people WANT Lamar to lose . Not becuase of any specific actual reason. Just becuase your tired of them being there. Lamar has a huge line on both sides of the ball. Lamar can throw the ball way better than I’ve ever seen them do before. And each game they look a little better. I think even if Lamar loses this game to Cassville they are not down. And someone will be out coached and out hussled each time during the playoffs. Coaching is huge and nobody has the coaching Lamar has. I think Cassville has the talent to beat Lamar. But it doesn’t mean they will. Both teams has serious title runs coming.

Nobody has the coach that Lamar has? I think there is a coach in Webb City that isn't too shabby.

I don't know some people who would want Lamar to lose just might be Wildcat fans. Sounds crazy. I didn't say Lamar was down at all or that their line was small or they couldn't pass. I mainly talked about Cville and how they had a passing game and a good offence and their D was getting better. I don't know what Lamar will do in playoffs, I assume they will play like they have been there. This thread is about the Lamar Cville game and that was what I was commenting on........Lets go Wildcats

To be the man you gotta beat the man so until the time comes that this incredible run comes to an end my money will always be on lamar in my heavily biased opinion
Agree 100 percent to be the man u got to beat the man. Several years ago the same was said about yall and yall stepped and beat the man, and yall are having a awesome run. Good luck and may the best man win..........no pun attended........lol

I agree with u Brotherhood88. I should be a great game. If a feller was to come to this one I would suggest for them to come early it gonna be crowded.

Never said anyone of you can’t think Cassville will win. I’m speaking In general the overall feel to a lot of people Lamar is down.

When have you seen ANY of these teams play? Serious question.

Why would I? I think you are biased to these teams. I’m also not sure why someone can’t just think they are good for where they play. The CCC is a top to bottom solid conference. But no one in that conference will get very far. If no one stands out in the conference I’m not sure how you can think they can beat Lamar, or that makes Lamar’s road tougher than usual. Just kinda puzzling. I’ve also seen you and others state injuries on a few of the top teams in the conference. I’m not saying these teams are terrible.

The scores from the past three years means nothing in 2018. Cassville will be the best team Lamar has played this year and the Lamar will be the best team Cassville has played this year to date. Both teams are very well coached, both are very disciplined, very physical and very skilled. This has the makings of a classic High School Football game.

I agree. It will be. I only provided this information because it was asked for.

I think you have missed the point. There's little doubt that the road for Lamar will be tougher than any of the previous 7 years. Lathrop or Lawson will be a tough test, and whomever comes out of the other side will make for an epic final.

As far as the CCC, the top 5 teams all have senior heavy squads at the same time which is why this season was so eagerly anticipated. It's gone about as I expected with a loss or two per team. I wouldn't count any of the 4 Class 2 teams making a suprise run to a semi-final, but that's about it.

I would caution anyone assuming a certain area is not worthy of discussion without having at least a cursory knowledge of what they have to offer.

I’d say my argument has always revolved around the road to state. I’d say last year was pretty tough for a recent memory stand point. Ava and Lutheran North is pretty tough. Ava and Lutheran would have won if it wasn’t for Lamar being Lamar. I’d say LN would have won state.

You are from that area I get it. Maybe you should see my point isn’t about these teams being discounted. Or slept on, however you want to put it. I’m just saying I don’t think they are talented enough with having to play Lamar. And as far as I see you don’t either. You picked Lawson. I really don’t think I’ve said anything offensive or wrong.

Just how I feel about Lamar’s path.
It looks like Fair Grove/Lathrop/Lawson. (Think that’s how it would fall) That’s not easy. But I don’t think it qualifies for toughest road yet. That’s all. Like I said I could be wrong. None of us know what game will happen or not happen yet. Just what could/should happen.
