Trinity -Lutheran North result?

After Saturday’s somewhat surprising win for Ritter, I’d be surprised if Lutheran north gets a win against them

Let’s wait and see on that. Trinity almost beat East STL last season, and then lost to a class 3 school Blair Oaks last season in MO. Seems the football talent In Illinois is very questionable. LN almost beat La Salle.....

They’ll play the game and we’ll know which team is the better one on Saturday. They’ll likely play again in the district championship game, and we’ll know which team is the better one then. Ritter played the tougher opponent in Week 1. Whoever wins in The ESL Classic will be the favorite to win Class 2.

Joe and the rest of the band can sing sad songs about it all season, and I’ll be happy with that.

The chip on your shoulder is odd to have considering the choke job the average STL team has every year.

Either Illinois schools suck? Or Cardinal Ritter is loaded. Which is just as bad as any school being loaded through recruitment and transferring. No one in any argument ever states every school that does it. Would never be considered needed.

It seems to me any good STL school can beat a school double it’s size in Illinois. But play another smaller school here and the score is closer or they beat the school who won against a far bigger school. So I’m not sure that’s something to brag about.

Yes you said it. Yes I’m prob taking you wrongly. But it takes respect to not do that. And I have zero interest in giving you any benefits on that regard.

Why do you word that like I’m a class 2 fan? I’m a fan of SWMO. Your assumptions are about as pinpoint as your arguments against recruitment and transferring. And how it’s apparently not done.

There was only ONE Class 2 school that no one could get past over the last 7 years. Keep pumping yourself up thinking that EVERY little SWMO school was great.

It’s not an assumption, because you’re pretty clear about the pain and frustration you feel. Your respect doesn’t interest me. I’m only here to read your angry posts about how much you dislike St. Louis private schools ... because we BOTH know there isn’t anything you can do about it, even though you’re convinced it’s happening.

Lol. Whatever you do, just don’t stop bitching about it.

Im sorry there’s no reason to brag about competing with Illinois schools. Obviously it doesn’t take much. Even against the biggest ones. Yikes.

That Trinity and LN game was one of the most horrific games I’ve ever watched. Sloppy coaching and play. Pathetic. And yet? These programs have almost beat or beaten 7A teams.

TRINITY played ESL to triple OT ... then ran thru Class 3 on the way to the Championship.

Yep. Blair Oaks (who’s in Jefferson City, and not SWMO) ran the table on Class 2. Including plastering Lathrop by about 50 .... who’d given Lamar a beatdown, after Lamar failed to even win their own conference.

It’s hilarious that you think SWMO is somehow the center of the football universe because ONE team dominated Class 2 for years. Too bad no college coaches feel as strongly about that as you do.

Not last year, baby. Which SWMO school won State in 2018?

Know what STL teams DON’T choke on? Attracting college coaches to their schools and offer scholarships to their players.

Trinity lost. I’m sorry. Just trolling you now. The paper think skin is quite hysterical.

Lol. Whatever, Joe. Your beloved SWMO schools don’t play anyone outside of their own little gene pool. It’s only a skip across the Arkansas border for them, so I wonder why none of them seek tougher and more varied competition?

All your favorite teams have to do itbget deep enough into the postseason to play, and then beat LN, Trinity and Ritter. So far, only Lamar can lay claim to having been able to do that. The rest of you are just claiming false glory off of their accomplishments. It’s sad. Lol

You should try comprehensive reading. Joe is JN. I’m a women laughing at your non existent manhood. What? You make a lot of statements that are by definition opinions. I’m sorry you have to twist into a pretzel any time you talk to us must be tiring little boy.

I’m seriously tired of trying to guess what you are speaking towards with your little boy slights. You should try be clear and a man when making your arguments.

Yeah, right. I’m SURE you got the names of the school wrong on purpose. Lol.

1st time? Congrats bub!

Illinois university baby! Whoop!

Yep ... and every one of those kids in SWMO that follow STL kids on Twitter would give their eye teeth to have the chance to play for them.

There’s that jealousy I was talking about, Joe.

What? Nobody wants to play at Illinois. Besides Overhyped STL kids of course!

There’s no twisting over here, dude. I’m pretty happy with the way things are. I’m happy with the state championship dominance last year. I’m happy with MSHSAA changing the multiplier after this year. I’m happy with the transfers. I’m happy with the kids getting scholarships.

But, MOSTLY, I’m happy because you’re UNHAPPY.

Don’t worry. None of your kids have the option to. Walmart and Dairy Queen are giving away full rides down there like candy though. Lol

See, you are putting me in a specific town again. But hey, since you brought it up. I truly am curious how many in STL will end up on gangs or in jail? Serious question. Mundane life? Or life In prison. We know the real winners here.

Not as many as I’m sure you’d like, my man. As a percentage, I’d guess it’s probably the same as the number down there that end up blowing up their trailers cooking meth, marrying their cousins, or ... yep ... in jail.

Focus, Joe. Your emotions have you all over the map in this thread.

Meth? That’s McDonald County towards Arkansas. Not really this area. But drugs and gang violence is all STL. I’m sure since these kids mostly will return home after failed football careers it will be a solid number. It’s not really what I want. As much as what’s reality. Even poverty stricken big cities like STL say sports is one of the only ways out. Just reality.

Marrying cousins is a Arkansas stereotype. Alabama. Hey, at least I’m poking at factual things. Instead of stereotypes. Try again. Or don’t. I don’t see the point. You’d just get smacked again. Have a good Labor Day, although I doubt there’s much laboring you do.

Oh, Joe. Keep those emotions in check and try to stay on point. You haven’t done any smacking. You just jumped in on a thread to rush to defend another poster, tried in vain to claim that you’re somehow representing a larger group with your persistent “we” comments, and slid ALL over the place and presented your hurt feelings because you have a hard time seeing kids you don’t know, from a place you don’t like, accomplishing things that you never could.

That includes playing football for any of the teams you root for. Man up, and take some deep breaths. It’s a long season and you need to conserve your bitching for the postseason. Lol

It’s best to just take the L when it’s been given. You lost to a majority of people’s eyes. Thanks,

Lol. THAT’S what I’m talking about. Those strong emotions telling you that anonymous posting on a msg board is a team sport. Thinking everything you post makes your feelings a “we” thing.

Poor thang.

It would appear the biggest “We” thing in existence is having to pull players from a metropolitan area of millions of people, putting together an all star team just to be able to try to compete with small schools with a few hundred kids who are probably more concerned about their SAT’s.

Can’t fault St Louis area kids for trying to do anything they can to get out of that poverty and crime ridden cesspool. More power to each and every one of them.

I seem to remember Cassville putting it to your newfound love, Ritter, as well.

Not last year, you didn’t. Remind me ... which school bounced Cassville outbof the playoffs in 2018? Lucky for you, Ritter dropped to Class 2. Now, it’ll be Blair Oaks that shit cans your boys into their Winter sports practices.

Beating up on your kids is just a collateral outcome. No one up here gives a thought about any Class 2 or 3 SWMO schools until it’s time to play late in the playoffs.

Starving small towns with dwindling populations and marginal public schools in SWMO don’t send kids to college on academic OR athletic scholarships. You’ve got plenty to worry about in your own trailer park without stressing over which university one of these college-prep kids chooses.

Ironically he has an arrest record. But keep it coming. Love it. I’ve said some pretty brutal stuff, but your vitriol for the other part of the state blows our feelings out of the water. It doesn’t do anyone good to hate as much as you do. You should try to seek some help for your bigoted/hateful feelings you have. Does the heart no good to hate people you don’t even know.

Says the “wannabe football expert” that has never played a down of football in their life. Don’t throw a rock and then hide your hand, Joe. It’s kind of late to play the victimhood roll in this thread, after being the one to take their comments away from football and into taking shots at STL first.

It’s expected, though, considering your first comments here were only so you could try to shit on kids, families, and schools that YOU don’t know. Leave it to you to come back with the whole “we” thing to try and make it seem as though you have some sort of credibility. Man up, Joe. You’re an embarrassment ... but this won’t be the last time that you show it.

This thread in one paragraph.
My wiener is bigger than your wiener. Even though I have never seen either of them I know this is true.

Joe has an inferiority complex, so he’ll react aggressively as a reflex ... but he also loves to play the victim, so he’ll cry foul when someone responds in-kind to his low blows.

He’d have learned not to do that, if he’d ever actually played football.

It’s a National Holiday, so I had time to entertain him today.

Just wanted to congratulate LN on their win. Was out of town and didn’t see the game. With the lopsided score it didn’t sound like much of one. Was LN truly that much better than Trinity? Trinity missing key players or have some jitters? Just expected it to be closer.

FBLife I realize we probably don’t send as many on athletic scholarships as you do, but a LOT of those players get academic scholarships. One thing I think we all have in common is in the end I think we all just want the kids to have the best life they can, no matter how they get it.

LN was that much better than Trinity. Trinity was missing 1 guy. Every match up on the field favored LN. Much more physical than Trinity. Trinity also very sloppy. I think it was about 3 kicks blocked and 3 interceptions. They have East St Louis this weekend and that one will be worse.

All of that being said they will probably be much better come playoff time, they are starting a Freshman at QB and its still a talented team "on paper". I think now they will actually practice special teams this week. That was probably the thing that stood out to me the most. This was the biggest game in St Louis this weekend #1 vs #2 ranked small schools and Trinity looked simply unprepared to play a football game this week. Very sloppy game and they dont have the same Athletes as last year who can cover up all of the mistakes with their talent.

But people get so wrapped up on how your wiener got bigger then theirs, and it just isn't fair. You should have not came from a better gene family, you must have recruited your parents in order for you to have gotten that bigger one. So in their eyes, you should only hang with the big wiener bunch, and let all the smaller wiener guys like they have, stay in their bunch.

That game was painful to watch, reminiscent of 3rd grade youth football, both teams. Obviously there was major talent and speed present, but execution was absolutely pathetic. I'm not real sure which team was better. The celebrations after the few good plays were fun to watch though! They have obviously been practicing those!

Did anyone throw themself to the ground and fake an injury when things weren’t going their way?

Didn't see that. But it wouldn't really be necessary when there were sufficient breaks after almost every play to assess penalties. Ugly.

Watched the game today. Looks like both teams were playing for stats. Coaches will get the mistakes cleaned up and be contenders in their respective classes.

I completely forgot they were in the same district. I think class 2 will be interesting this year. Ritter, Lutheran North, Lamar, Blair Oaks and Maryville dropped down to two.

Blair Oaks Class 3 now. Comes down to them and Trinity (possibly Odessa may have a say)

Class 2 more wide open. On one side of Bracket I think Lamar has easy road to championship game. Other side of Bracket you got LN, CR, Maryville and possibly Lathrop. In qtrs my guess is CR and Maryville. CR goes on to beat Maryville and Lamar for title.

Would give Maryville a slight chance if Semi is held in the hostile environment of the Hound Pound. (Have not lost a game their since 2010) Would be long travel from Saint Louis and it can outright be frigid that time of year in NWMO.

I think thetophat has mentioned Odessa favorably several times. I agree, and if they remain relatively injury free they will definitely be in the mix.
