Is it just me or are trinitys lineman bigger then both Kearney and Harrisonville!

bigger. they had a class 6 size line. Problem was they on field most of game. Lamar rotated theirs in and out. #depth

One of their lineman is going to IL. there is a reason they are not strong they don't
have a strong lifting program. Those kids didn't come from hazelwood one came
from Jennings high school.

Wasn't at the game, but heard they could use some class. Any truth to that?? I listened to it on the radio.

To start off it was a very fun game to attend for a fan who didnt have a dog in the fight so to speak.

There were multiple examples of classless behavior by the Trinity team and fans. When the big kid was hurt you could clearly hear a mom from their stands screaming "get #7!!" Calling for some sort of retaliation. Their players, especially number 11, pouted bad in the 4th and showed no effort whatsoever. I felt embarassed just looking at it. Trinity had athletes and size but their line was among the weakest groups of 300 pounders I have seen.

That said we were sitting next to a bunch of Lamar fans who were spitting tobacco all over the stands at Plaster and F bombing the officials in front of kids...so I guess no team/fanbase is perfect.

Saw one of their D1 linemen jumping up and down like a baby after a kid from Lamar blew past him and splattered their QB. Then one receiver after an incomplete pass on 4th down just stood on Lamars side of the ball and an official went over to see if he was ok,,finally walked slowly back to play defense. Just can tell difference in the teams goes deeper than just having the "athletes"

When trinity 66 pushed 7 back down when 7 was getting up after running the ball. 66 was warned by official but all it did was motivate 7 cooper Lucas to run him over, which he did every time he ran that direction up the middle. Also 11 refusing to shake hands after the game. 12 from Lamar ran across the field to shake his hand anyways and was greeted by a coach and turned away. The differences in culture were definitely on display today.

For some reason at the beginning of the game the Trinity student section was booing the Lamar players as they headed to the locker game for some reason!

I will say that big 76 (I believe 76) Larry Boyd, the Illinois commit could be seen herding his fellow lineman back when he thought they needed it. He seemed very respectful and showed good sportsmanship

Everything you have written about Trinity is true many coaches in St. Louis have
seen it for years, they just never had this much talent. They beat Christian High school
by 60 and was dancing in the end zone. You got to remember these kids come from all
over and don't have a comittment to Trinity. it is not a community or any thing you find
in a small town. Class 2 football in St. Louis are schools that are private and are small
and change kids a lot. Lot of these kids come to these schools to get out of tough situations
they are in. A community like Lamar can't relate to a lot of these kids blights in life. Just
the idea of some of them involved in sports is a blessing in its self. Doesn't give them a pass
to act poorly but the Trinity coach has to be involved in a lot of things with kids that small
community's don't have to as much.

Lamar Kids learn in grade school football what is the correct way to play which
is awesome . This is not to condone poor behavior by Trinity but when you have some
kids that have issues before they ever get to the school and you are trying to teach
them how to handle things it is not as easy as one might think. You saw they had
mayby 30 kids playing football that is the most they have had in years so just maintaining
a roster was a good job by the coaching staff.

Lamar is taught to do that kids from Trinity many of them never put pads on before high
school Totally different situation. I doubt if many of the Lamar kids have to worry about
drive by shootings are gangs in their neighbor hood.

Enough of the whining. Good god. Congrats to Lamar for winning their 6th straight title.

Sorry to hear that Trinity didn't play with more sportsmanship, but did we really expect them to? Get over it. Game over. Look forward to a possible class 2 rematch next year.

Sure it is but self discipline is instilled at early ages and through many trials. Easy for
most of us to understand that but I had a dad that gave me no options on behavior and
he was at all my games. Not sure how I would of been if I didn't grow up with that
leadership in my life and many times I never saw a family member see me play I might
not of been the best sport. Again a high school player should know how to behave in sports
but sometimes you lack the examples in your life at an early age to instill that in you.

Trinty will not be back no one from St. Louis will be class 2 will be horrible next year. Lutheran North lost a ton. Trinity will have no lineman and some kids will leave. Brentwood lost a ton and very few kids play as it is.

Do you complain about everything?

^^^^ as if his complaints don't deserve to be got over by him. Everyone else should just get over it lol

I just think it is important for people from small communties who support their high school
like crazy which is awesome for the kids it is not like that in all schools especially in St. Louis,so sometimes unless we walk a mile in another person's shoes it is easy to make judge ments.

I was discussing this with my son earlier. Now, I may be wrong, but as a recruiter, I'd take some of those Lamar players over most of Trinity's team. Sure, Lamar may not have anyone that runs a 4.3 forty (as Trinity's QB is reputed to do...and he competed and got up after hits unlike many others on his squad, by the way) but I'd take their toughness and reliability over some of that squirrelyness I saw today.
It's so hard to quantify the human spirit. Lamar runs a 3.9 when it comes to the human spirit...
I would say hardman runs close to that. I know he runs a 10 second 100

I am a guy who simply showed up to watch some quality high school football (I live about 2 miles down the road from Plaster Stadium)..., and was for the most part, very impartial to this game. For the first half, I sat on the Trinity side, and for the second half, the Lamar side. Not that surprisingly, the Lamar crowd pretty much doubled that of the Trinity side. From my view, Lamar played much more as a TEAM than did Trinity. That being said, Lamar did not handle the pass too well. It's been years since I've seen a team who hit harder than Lamar does. Some of those hits put on the Trinity QB and others was brutal. #7 (Lucas?) for Lamar was impressive! Also, I heard before this game that the Trinity line was big...nope, their line was HUGE! Looked like a college team. Not to start anything, but I was hoping to get some clarification, but at one point, the Trinity crowd was yelling, "take #7 out"...Were they calling for their team to take him out, or calling for the Lamar coaches to take him out? Just a little confused about that one....

They had 5 interceptions. And gave up 1 passing td. I think they handled the passing game okay. Unless you're talking about lamars passing game lol

If there was a championship for pouting, sulking and pretending to be hurt whenever something went wrong....Trinity is the winner, hands down. It was disgusting.
I became a Lamar fan today, just in admiration of their attitude and toughness. They play the game the way it should be played.
Congratulations.
As an impartial person watching this game, I noticed the same thing. And not to be 'nitpicky' if you will, but I noticed that when a Trinity player was hurt, the Lamar helmets came off and they went to their knees almost immediately, but I also noticed that the Trinity kids, took longer to go to their knees and only about 30% of their helmets were off. Like I said, VERY nitpicky, but it is something I noticed.

Good point, but Trinity was ahead at one point (12-10) and we both know it wasn't due to Trinity's rushing game.

last year at a game at Sumner there was a drive by shooting early in the game,,nobody was hit so they just resumed the game after about 10 minutes. Can't imagine that happening during a game

I said the same thing about Zeke Elliott his senior year in high school (the year AFTER Rogersville beat him in the dome); he acted the same way as most of the Trinity kids did in almost every game I saw him play in high school (which was about a half dozen), with all the pouting and attitude...

...I've never lived it down since.

Moral of the story: Sadly, colleges and the NFL can do more with talent than they can with work ethic and discipline :(

Hardman was the class 3 runner up in the 100 and has a PR of 10.6.

Or character...
Prediction (and we'll collaborate here when it comes to pass):
EE will do something within a few years that will embarrass himself and the Cowboys. What? I don't know, but it's part of his character.

Already has...

being investigated for beating up his girlfriend by police and nfl.
