Earl Austin Jr. does a great job in STL and has broken down all (there is a lot) of movement with CBC, Vashon, Pattonville and others as the big winners.

What are other top transfers outside of St. Louis?

Reports out of Southeast Missouri has a couple of players from Sikeston enrolling @ Scott County Central. SCC won the class 2 state championship last season and with the new addition could be one of the teams to watch in class 2. Bloomfield is loaded and could be the team to defeat SCC during districts or sectionals and be a big threat for a state championship.

Transfers from Sikeston, or just have a Sikeston mailing address?

Bloomfield being loaded might be a little strong. They have some nice players but need to learn how to play together more consistently before anyone should start talking state tourney.

Rufus R. Jones--I'm not in the loop on the Sikeston students who are trying to " Walk On " @ Scott County Central ". I have friends in Southeast Missouri who say the Sikeston students did not move @ the time of enrollment @ SCC which would make them ineligibility. Since this is a violation of MSHSAA rules, I would be surprised if the players get clearance from the MSHSAA to play this season. If the Sikeston students play for SCC this season, I'm guessing the rumors are false and the students moved to the SCC district before enrolling for classes.

So, basically, you're just spreading rumors?

Not at all. Just not part of the crowd.:(

And he is, apparently, just spreading rumors. Don't really see that that is appropriate, even if it is approved by the "regulars."
No no no...Rufus...just having some fun. I've seen you on here plenty before. Just poking fun that you haven't seen this from the Dude before.

Rufus---The Southeast Missourian has a message board. It was reported on this message board that one of the Sikeston students lives by him and was attending SCC. One of my friends who lives in Sikeston tell me this is no rumor but we must believe in the system and if these Sikeston students play, they are indeed eligible and moved into the SCC district during the summer and enrolled before school started. All 550 plus high school in Missouri are members of the MSHSAA who have rules of eligibility. All of these high schools should be " Fair and consistence " when determining the rules.

Having a mailing address in one place does not mean you are in that school district. When I was kid I lived in Hendrickson, Mo. just north of Black River off 67 highway a couple of miles about 12 miles north of P.B. Our address was Route 1 Williamsville. All the kids in my family went to grade school at Hendrickson, grades 1-8, then high school in P.B. Kids in Williamsville went to grade school in Williamsville, then HS in Greenville 15 miles north of Hendrickson. We were in the P.B. school district but on a Williamsville route for mailing purposes. I have no idea where the folks live that you're talking about but I'd bet some kids in the SCC school district have Sikeston mailing address.

Thanks ( 3Rfan ) for clearing up the Sikeston-SCC situation, This could be the reasons for eligibility.

I doubt if I cleared that up since I don't know where the kids live that you were talking about. For all I know they could live in downtown Sikeston. I just know a mailing address is not always the same as your school district.

Reported might be a tad of a stretch for comments on a message board. And I don't even like journalists all that much.

Gotcha. Sorry. I'm not on here enough to keep up with who is who.

I know it would not be the first time a basketball power in SE MO pulled some transfer shenanigans. But there are, as I understand it, students with a Sikeston address that go to SCC. And there are, as I have noticed, people every year that insinuate that SCC is playing players that should not be eligible. And nothing ever comes of it, just the "I have a friend that heard..." b.s.

Rufus--What area of Missouri are you from? Most of MoSport's news are reported from St. Louis and Southeast Missouri. We need more news from Springfield, Kansas City, Mid-Mo and other areas to have proper coverage.

If it's on a message board...on the internet....it has to be true...right???

I have always considered Rufus R. , moSportstaff, 3Rfan and eagle ball as reliable sources. It would not be wise to pick a basketball fight with these four well-known moSports members and Moderator.
