There is a lot of misinformation on this thread. No matter how much a parent bothers MSHSAA, they will not cave. Thayer is playing the kids because they are eligible, and the sheriff has stated that there is no open investigation—heck, he has even told MSHSAA that. I assure you MSHSAA is well-informed from both sides. Thayer's kids are guilty of being arrogant, but they are not guilty or even charged at the moment with any crime.
On another note, in this thread, people have talked about what a good man Coach Pitts is, but in this instance, has he thrown out all his morals to play a significantly better team than him on Friday? Pitts is a good man who does what is right and is doing what is right now. The kids would not be playing if there was an open investigation.
