The Braymer Bobcats return 3 starters from a team that finished 15-10 and
advanced to the Class 1 MSHSAA Quarterfinal round of the playoffs in March. With
their top three rebounder and scorers returning this season much is
expected.
"We
will play a combination of zone and man defense", commented head coach Brad Cox
in his third season at Braymer. "Our defense will determine the amount of
success we will achieve this season. We will rely on our seniors to provide
leadership."
Top returning Bobcats include 6-foot-2 inch senior Brandon Taylor who averaged
nearly 13 points and 12 rebounds per game a season ago 6-foot-4 inch junior
Jesse Utt returns, he averaged 11.6 points and connected on 48% of his three
point attempts. Senior Trace Phillips, a 5-foot-10 inch senior, returns
along with several other newcomers who will bolster the Bobcat lineup.
