That is Trinity out of Louisville. Class 6 Enrollment of about 1,200. Not the one from St. Louis. Very Good win.Last year, mid season BO and Valle Catholic scheduled a make up game due to covid with a 1-2 day advance. BO tried to get them to meet half way in Union, they said no. Then they said what about Jefferson County, they said no. BO leadership then told the AD to just go to their house. The game went down to the wire and Valle came out on top in a heavily fought matchup with no time to prepare for it.
Earlier in that week LN contacted Valle Catholic about a covid make up game and they said no stating they would be seeing them in the playoffs, LN was not happy when BO and VC made a game later that week.
Moving on.
Last week Valle Catholic Volleyball played BO in the semis for Class 3. BO won and then won state. A little revenge there. I heard ahead of this matchup of quite a bit of smack talk going around.
I would like to see VC win and then eventually meet up with BO down the road in football but that is quite a tall order at this point. St. Mary's already had their way with all of the other St Louis area private schools LN, CR, and Trinity (supposively they still exist). So to say Valle has their hands full is quite an understatement.
So Valle truly has their hands full. Good luck. That is Trinity out of Louisville. Class 6 Enrollment of about 1,200. Not the one from St. Louis. Very Good win.
Yes they are, they were good last year, then got all of Trinity’s kids from “transferring”. They should win state. If they don’t it’s on them.If Valle would beat St. Mary, it would be one of the biggest wins in their program history along with beating BO last yr. truthfully I don't see it happening, St. Mary too big and fast
I understand why MSHSAA has made the success rule for private schools but VC doesn't recruit, they play with what they have all along. Teams love to make excuses when they get beat by VC but the truth is VC has no business being in class 3 with barely over 100 students in volleyball, football or baseball. There is no off season for all three of those sports at VC. I get it that VC shouldn't be in class 1, but to skip over class 2 makes no sense to me. Name another county in MO the size of Ste Gen with 2 class 3 schools in it. There are none. VC doesn't get every athlete nor do they get every good athlete in the county. They have successful programs, I know no one wants to hear it and would rather make excuses than just admitting they got beat by a better program. VC is the undersized team every week, they should not have to play a school the size of St. Mary in football, but they will and will try to give them a game.Last year, mid season BO and Valle Catholic scheduled a make up game due to covid with a 1-2 day advance. Don't worry they should be back at class 2 next season. I do understand where you are coming from though. If they stayed class 1, no telling how many state championships they would have. I do not know about the recruiting stuff, but I do know the kids that are there put in as much work as anyone in the state and are dedicated to it! That is why they have great success. I also know that they will be well prepared for Friday's game. You always make comments like that but have no proof because it's a bullsh*t comment. You know nothing about Sainte Genevieve so stop acting like you do troll, fish somewhere else. I didn't say VC could compete in class 2, Lamar proved it but at least VC had to balls to schedule them. Lamar kids are huge compared to VC and very well coached, a great program for sure. I'm not embarrassed about losing to them, they were and are a better program (see how easy that is)If there were only SG county kids you'd have a point.
Valle should be class 2. I know they enjoyed playing Lamar.
Get your shots in, won't be hearing from you after Friday. YOU ARE WELCOME MO SPORTSIf there were only SG county kids you'd have a point.

Valle's website even stated at one point they served a neighboring county. You always make comments like that but have no proof because it's a bullsh*t comment. We enjoyed playing VC as well. I remember reading the SEMO Boards where people were saying. “Where even is Lamar” “who are they?” And this isn’t a dig it was just funny. “They haven’t played somebody like us before”You always make comments like that but have no proof because it's a bullsh*t comment. You seem triggeredOr Biden for that matter!
Valle plays with what they have, always have. They have the same advantage as St Vincent but are being penalized for being successful. If Valle is class 3, all city privates should be class 6I don't have a dog in the fight, and believe that private schools should be in their own division come playoff time. That being said, a quick look at the Valle roster shows Basler (2), Bauman, Fallert (3), Giesler (2), Okenfuss, Viox (2) as last names. Those have been Valle last names for years and years. I assume I am correct when I say Valle isn't bringing in kids from a couple dozen zip codes.
No they weren't.Referring to Valle as Goliath is more hilarious, they are the undersized team week in and out (even when they were class 1)
If you look at SV's roster they have some 'valle names' as well. Regardless if they recruit or not they have a different set of rules than any public school and thus should have a multiplier kids at all the other private schools work hard to. The formula is there for a reason a population of 15000 to draw from roughly would put you in class 4. They aren't cheaters and neither are any of the privates but they do have different rules and hard work doesn't negate that.I understand why MSHSAA has made the success rule for private schools but VC doesn't recruit, they play with what they have all along. If you got every athlete I would agree with you, they barely have over 100 students (coed). I don't have a problem with the multiplier, I have a problem with the "success factor". If you move one up, move them all up. How many student's DON'T play sports? If you got every athlete I would agree with you, they barely have over 100 students (coed). You tell me since you know so much about VCHow many student's DON'T play sports?
104 /2=52You tell me since you know so much about VC
Why would they move up to 6? Valle is by far the most successful small school private in the last 20 years. My theory is the success factor works to even the playing field. I'm sorry that a school that has the same rules as your program could have a better team than you based on there location... that must really be frustrating for you... could you imagine if they instead could only take kids within the boundaries of the district to play how unfair would that be.If you got every athlete I would agree with you, they barely have over 100 students (coed). That wouldn't affect Valle at all, they already do that! Talk to the city schoolsWhy would they move up to 6? Valle is by far the most successful small school private in the last 20 years. Your geographic boundary is class 3 or 4 (at least). Not sure what jefferson county pop is.That wouldn't affect Valle at all, they already do that! Talk to the city schools
Congrats. You're all class 6.What is St Louis, KC, Springfield, Jefferson City's population?
Kind of like feeling sorry for a millionaire complaing about their taxes, hard to feel sorry huh.Personally I enjoy when private schools get a to play private schools and complain about how unfair it is, this thread made my morning.
