Salem Lady Tigers 20-4 get 3 seed Class 4 District 10

Was wondering thoughts on Class 4 District 10 top 3 teams are:
Seeds 1-3
1. Helias 14-10
2. Osage 20-5
3. Salem 20-4
Curious to how they pick the seeds cuz I would've thought Helias would have been the 3 seed with Salem and Osage being the 1-2 just curious on ur thoughts. Good Luck Salem Lady Tigers

More than just records go into District seeding. Strength of Schedule, playing bigger schools and wins over other teams in the district can also come into play.

The head coaches from the teams in the district do the seeding.

Salem has played a much weaker schedule than most teams in that district and probably most teams in Class 4. Take a look at Helias, Osage, and Marshfield's schedule. No comparison! Salem has had a great year, but most teams would have the same or better record with that schedule.

Very weak schedule. Osage and helias had much tougher competition. Put Salem in either of their schedules and their wins would have dramatically decreased.

Thanks I know Wat everyone is sayin on weak schedule and I have no idea y they don't go out and try to play bigger schools since they are a Class 4 school half there schedule is against class 2-3 schools. I do know they got handled pretty good by West Plains but I will say this they are a tough group of girls and they give it there all. GOOD LUCK LADY TIGERS

They should use the third seed as motivation to prove how good they are. If the girls feel they are better than a 3 seed it should motivate them to show everyone how good they are. Sometimes a little motivation will go a long ways! Win or go home, my favorite time of the year, lots of crazy things happen.

Unless you are thinking they should be the one seed there is really not much of a difference in getting the 3. I mean you have to wear your road uniforms instead of the home ones in the semi-finals. Other than that, nothing huge...if you are that good, the 6 instead of the 7 seed in the first round wont make a difference.

Salem lost in the semi finals of the districts, so looks like the coaches got the seeding right .
