Rivals bot attacks

Found evidence now on Texas, Nebraska, Kentucky and Oklahoma boards SO it does indeed appear RIVALS is under attack not MOSports.......................moving to taking all the local/State suspects off my list yes including our dear friend the R- word LOL (doesn't mean I won't razz the hell out of him should he return).

Mind you still very curious how these bots can like one another's comments, how those long trolling/mocking answers to posts can happen plus HOW does a bot follow a legit account? Were you all to see the header in that single event 15 days ago you'd understand why I felt the way I did.

NOW on to finding a way to defeat these rat-ba$tards!

This might be a good thing. More boards being attacked could lead to more users making noise towards Rivals. Hopefully that gets their attention

I am also, at this new point, VERY pleased not to have to "suspect" any of our former/current posters are doing this! Nobody wants this to happen.................YES RIVALS NEEDS TO GET ON THE STICK!

The bot attacks are STILL from accounts that were made in early July 2024. It should probably be confirmed that Rivals only shut the door on new bots. Fingers crossed new bot accounts dont start showing up

I mean I have a whole other board setup we can jump to and some gave signed up for, however I'm not wanting to abandon ship. We fight til we can't fight anymore

scam / bot posters just want you to click to their page to get you to enter information to steal it. They do this in forums, They do this in youtube, facebook, twitter, you name it.

On facebook where posts are made about an upcoming or currently on going game they will post a scam link to a fake webcast of that game referenced. This has been going on for YEARS. When I am helping with Blair Oaks webcasts I have to delete these posts and block those users repeatedly every 10-15 minutes during a game and they will use different accounts every single time. They will post a link and have another account like their post too just like they do here in the forums.

This is exactly what is being done here but instead for some reason they chose to use stuff about medication and drugs instead of sports. These attacks are well thought out and well-rehearsed as they are doing an actual job. They are here and on other platforms to make a living by trying to gain identities and financial information. This is not some kid playing a joke. The individual probably doesn't even know or at least understand English at a high level either.

So when I say we are over our heads on hoping that this stuff will go away and stop, it won't. It might stop for a few days but it will always come back in different ways. If you block them in the way they come in now they will just do it differently and create new accounts.

Supports what others have said still see some things I flat out don't expect to see from the standard issue bot attack. The bots on X (FKA Twitter) try to follow me all the time and the standard issue ID theft trick is posting a phony instagram post on my DM feed. This is different PLUS there have been bots here since 2015 (the very small redser attack).

NOTHING would surprise me plus I suspect there may be "aggrieved" MOSports posters former or current who are piggybacking off this (following my account with a very odd header and the new poster laughing at others just today). The one and only positive is I do not see any bots newer than July 16. Let's see if this continues.

It would sure be nice if we had a moderator that would you know... moderate from time to time.

At least delete the users and posts so that everyone else doensn't have to individually ignore them until they hit their max.

There are many of is whom would do it but they won't allow it.

I'm praying we don't have to move over to the board I created but it would be well moderated from bots
