Privates can win all 6 Classes!!! Time for Separate Championships?

no Open Enrollment!!!

First Fix The Public Schools and stop letting Private Schools take their students. Mostly STL Public schools. When last time we heard the Hazelwood schools , Parkway Schools, McCluer Schools, Webster Groves, have a decent success lately

Private Schools are greedy, they only Care about Themselves and State Championship

Pros: glad they came up with the Championship factor success or we definitely be definitely complaining

Without Success factor in 2024
Class 1 St Vincent or Valle
Class 2 Lutheran North
Class 3 Cardinal Ritter
Class 4 Helias
Class 5 De Smet
Class 6 CBC possibly

We always thought Webb City, Blair Oaks were probably recruiting but no, reason they are good because most parents are probably higher class because they don’t want send there kids in the Inner City. Blair Oaks Students are probably have parents who is wealthy since they’re barely outside Jeff City.

I know one C2 Public School in Northeast Missouri, they’re parents sign contracts so they’re kids can start

Please please, don't call it public school recruiting. Call it parentally selected location for enhanced student sports benefits.

I'm sure these items have been discussed or will be thought about before a decision is made, but I just have so many questions about open enrollment.

Is there a deadline when kids can move?
What happens to teachers if a school loses 150-200 kids to neighboring schools?
Can schools put a cap on how many kids they have to accept?
Can schools pick and choose which kids they accept?
I'm assuming transportation would be on the parents if they live outside the district?
From what I understand:
Deadline…. Up to the school
Teachers…. Have to look for a new job
Cap… dependent on a district and its ability to handle X amount of additional students
Pick and choose…. Yes
Yes on transpiration

Teacher signs a contract and 20% of the students don't show. Woops
Good plan.

This is literally just to get the money in the pocket of the people already sending kids to private schools.

Caveat should be that any student using this funding is banned from MSHSAA competition.

But I will respond to your first statement!!!
“Fix the public schools” sounds great! What is your solution??? The problem with the public school system is not the fault of the “greedy privates”. And is there more to a parent signing a contract than what you say??? … like a contract that states the responsibilities of a parent for your child to participate in xyz program????

If those truly are the answers, then that sounds like a disaster.

If you have supportive and involved parents, you are most likely going to succeed and perform well in any public schools. School choice and open enrollment will benefit the involved and typically more well off financially families. The uninvolved families can't get their kids to their current school, much less to a neighboring school. Students will disabilities or health concerns, most likely the privates aren't going to take bc they don't have the services available.
