First of all, I am having a bad year at predicting these playoffs, but that is good. Used to a be a chalky experience but there has been a lot or road teams winning this year. Below are the possible Private School Champs in each class. Not saying they all will win, but it will be interesting.

Class 6- CBC
Class 5-Cardinal Ritter
Class 4-Lutheran North
Class 3-John Burroughs
Class 2-Valle
Class 1- St. Vincent

Weakest of the private chances are Class 3. Question, do we count Charter Schools as Private because they also have an Open Enrollment Policy. Is it time for all Open Enrollment schools have their own playoffs.

Bookmarking this for later. Heard this BS all of last season. CBC got their asses kicked by Liberty North and Lutheran North, a great 7 on 7 team, got beat by Hillsboro. Hillsboro who got rolled by Kearney, who by the way, is better than last year.
I have doubts about the other 7 on 7 team, Cardinal Ritter. Teams coming their way that know how to play old school on the lines and know how to play 7 on 7 as well. Weight room numbers aren’t close for some of them. Popcorn is ready.

Class 3 zero chance anyone stops Blair-Seneca in my opinion. I just watched CBC get bombed by admittedly a very good Bryant AR but they are nowhere near invincible nor are any of the others you list. In saying that no doubt a few will win titles but all six or even five................nope.

It is the speed I see not just at KMO but expect to see lots of it this Friday at Platte County, too. Why I call all three of these Northland teams "special" this fall. The real fun part is all three stand a great chance of being right back here next year!

Love the responses!!! Here are the top public school teams which can beat the privates:

Class 6- Lee Summit North
Class 5- Platte Co
Class 4- Kearney
Class 3- Blair Oaks
Class 2- Fair Grove
Class 1- Marionville

I know some of these teams will matchup before finals, but some of these games might be worth the $10 (another scam by MSHSAA) if they are not in the STL

If Platte County survives this Friday I could easily see them and MICDS hooking up in a very interesting C5 semifinal that may resemble the 2021 C4 classic Smithville pulled out over that way very late.

Kearney-Lutheran North happens barring a huge rash of turnovers and/or injuries that same semifinal weekend.

CBC vs. the Nixa-Lee's Summits survivor (North and the original face off this Friday) is another must watch that Thanksgiving holiday weekend.

Adrian is legit in Class 1, Do not sleep on Lamar in Class 2, and Seneca dominated one of the best football conferences (small) in the state.

We shall see. Keep talking It won't win a championship

It did last year. And I will keep talking. LOL CBC gonna keep flapping their lips? They were champion jackasses last year in the final. AH, CBC still butt hurt from last year.

I say open enrollment and lets set up recruiting visits and let all these schools make money off of these kids...prepare them for their future!!! I would like a recruiting staff of 5-10 people and my own office to work out of...maybe have to teach one class. OPEN ENROLLMENT LET'S GO!!!!

Imagine an open enrollment environment where the LS schools converge and your HWY 92 converges and Liberty connects up. The talk about the private schools would be over

Open enrollment would be best for the kids! Why should any kid in the state have to be told where they HAVE to go to school???

You can pay tuition to attend other schools.
I think you confuse the words option and ability. The whole school choice argument is built around parents making the best decision of where to send their kids that is publicly funded. Then public funding by attendance so schoolshave incentive to hire the best and be the best.

Parents have the choice now. Move to where you want your kids attending. They have that choice or they can pay tuition.

This isn't a difficult concept. it's a money grab for a segment of our political spectrum.

That’s BS. The current system is a money grab. Why are wealthy school districts like Rockwood and Blue Springs receiving more state funding per student than say Van-far or Crocker?

Open enrollment sets a flat amount per student and forces schools districts to improve in order to complete for enrollment.
