Pre Season Poll

Always interesting to see how the early polls come out and so hard to predict how teams will really look like with losing players. Here in NE Missouri, you have Madison as the 1 seed in Novinger Tournament and Brashear ranked 5th right behind them is the 4th seed. Green City is the 2 seed in same tournament and ranked 10th. Guess that will all be settled next week. Madison did not end season in polls and lost their 1st and 3rd leading scorers, which accounted for about half of the teams scoring, assist, steal totals. Canton and Community both beat Madison last year and return most of their team and are in same district. Madison did not lose anyone to graduation, which is a positive, so the other girls will have to find a way to replace the two transfers production. Congrats to all the teams with the early recognition.

Class 5 district 11 -- 4 out of 5 teams in the district ranked in the preseason top 10. Kickapoo and Ozark definitely belong. Branson belongs solely on the strength of having Priscilla Williams back. Nixa may be more of a stretch only because of a very unfortunate injury that will take Biro out for the season -- too bad, because she is a great player to watch. With Biro, they would definitely be top 10 material as well.
