~~~What a joke...! Vashon is allowed to pick the best players from 6,000 students in the St.Louis school system and show on enrollment of 447 and play in class 4...This is Soooo unfair. For several years Mexico has one of the best teams and their route to the final-4 was stopped by Vashon. No doubt they are a very good team but should never to allowed to compete with the public schools that are limited to youngsters in their own districts... MSHSAA needs to fix this very unfair practice..
A 90 to 30 game in the final-4, is that what we really want to see..?! A much improved system needs to be in place to get the best 4 teams from each class playing in the final-4... IMHO the class 4 state championship was played last Saturday in the Mex-Plex..!
I suggest you write to MSHSAA and express your displeasure...

Same for Incarnate Word on the girls side. They are a basketball academy, they are basically Link Academy on the girls side. Plus while Vashon may only get to handpick from the St. Louis area, Incarnate gets about a 2-3 hour radius around St. Louis.
