A young Grandview (Kansas City) Bulldog squad finished the
2010-2011 season with an 18-9 mark, giving head coach Randy Farris
optimism as he looks forward to the upcoming season will a solid lineup.
"We had some success last season, but lost the district in double OT", commented
Farris. "This left a sour taste in our mouths which has been a source of
inspiration in the off-season. We have a chance to be a really good team if we
keep the buy in we have gotten in the off season."
6-foot-3 inch, 180-pound senior Khalil Davis
returns as an all district and all-conference performer in the Suburban
conference leads a group of 4 returning starters and 9 lettermen.
Joining Davis, 6-foot-2 inch sophomore Tyrone Taylor, 6-foot-3
inch senior Terik Lewis, and 6-foot-4 inch Loomis Gerring provide solid play on
the perimeter. In the middle, 6-foot-8 inch sophomore
Nelson Nweke[/B] is the anchor on defense.
The Bulldogs should battle with Platte County for the
conference crown, then Pleasant Hill and Warrensburg in district play.
