People Voting for inflation

Given a choice people are going to vote to increase their wages, however the biggest complaint was inflation, increasing wages will only increase inflation and those on the lower end will again have reduce purchasing power.
Also we voted to include paid sick leave, I wont argue that large corporation should probable be including this. However you local mom and pop shop who themselves cannot afford to take off will now be required to give it to their employees...to me how can that be fair?
Also most of the money backing this amendment came from out of state donors.

I think what that tells you is people want government not making decisions for them. gambling reproductive rights to guns. Pubs stop messing with abortion they could become impossible to beat.

This is several different left leaning issues that have passed in Mo in the past decade. But they keep voting in people who oppose those same issues. That tells me how uninformed our voters are about the people they are electing. It’s all about the tribe.

Toots, I sat down with a good friend who is a solid Democrat, We talked about the election and he like many Dems was in denial and almost talked down about the issues that the middle class and lower class are facing or that are important to them, He talked that factory are gone forever we need to focus on living wages for those working in retail. that is not the message that working middle class want to hear. I am not saying Trump is going to do anything for the middle class or poor, but they just liked his and the Pubs message better than the Dems. Honestly like it or not currently the Pubs are now the face of the middle class.
At the end of the conversation I told my friend and he agreed, the Dems need to get out of Gender politics stop focusing so hard on who can use what bathroom or letting men compete in woman's sports, I think both you and I can agree its small so why do the Dems let that dominate the political talks instead of the economy jobs and immigration. Heck the Dems use to be on the right side of illegal immigration not sure what changed?
The message the Pubs are putting out is working and reaching the middle class and poor even the Latinos and those of minority. The Dems need to move to the Center...

I’m sorry but it’s the gop who keeps the LGBTQ and gender nonsense fresh on everyone’s mind. They bring it up time and again because they know it scares people.

It works. Just like the scary immigrant nonsense. It works. Just like the “baby killer” message about abortion still works on their base. At least they have backed off the “they are going to take our guns” crap.

Of the thousands of Dem officeholders, how many campaigned on allowing boys to play girls sports??? Zero. Yet they still say kamala wants it to happen. People fall for everything.

I don’t care how much bacon costs, I’ll eat something else. Prices went nuts post pandemic. I stopped buying some products I use to consume all the time. For example we have cut way back on our paper towel use and use cloth towels more. That’s life.

Trump ain’t going to fix that. Inflation has already been addressed successfully by a competent administration.

A lot of middle class voters just aren’t very bright.
