Says he wants to preserve it in case Trump becomes more unstable. Hope he doesn't wait too long and allow him to do something else that can't be undone. Pence will never get Trump's voters if he runs for any office now, not sure what he's waiting for.

Nah, Pence knows he has to distance himself from Trump now. Trump has zero chance of even winning the GOP nomination in 2024. This past week was the last straw for most of the Rep leadership. The Reps will support whoever their candidate is in the prez election. Pence is setting himself up for a run.
He can't win the primaries without the Trump voters, he's toast. He might as well do the right thing now.
before he won the nomination in 2016 what chance did you think Trump had in winning? whatever it was, it's higher now. LOTS of people still support him

I am tired of hearing 75 million disenfranchised voters. If the election were held today he might get 50 million.
They have been trying to disenfranchise about 80 million!
