Where is the line between people's right to protest and other people's right to get to work or get home on public roadways? The folks blocked on streets and highways had NOTHING to do with what happened and NOTHING to do with a grand jury decision yet they are the ones caught up in the protests even when they are "peaceful." What is peaceful about blocking interstates and other major roads that affect thousands of people that were not in any way involved in the "injustice", real or perceived, and keeps them from going about their daily routine?

Very good question 3R,

What if an ambulance or fire truck cannot get through because of the "peaceful protestors", and someone dies as a result.
As NM mentioned yesterday, if your actions cause someone's death, even if you didn't mean any harm, you can still be guilty of a crime.

Would all the protestors then be charged with reckless homicide?

I agree with you on this 3R. We have a right to protest, but that right does not allow us to infringe on others.

I agree, there's a point at which the authorities need to start stepping in, I think they've shown a little too much restraint so far in many cases.

Like, when they blocked the driveway at the Courthouse yesterday, they should have arrested all of them.

Too much restraint? Then when the guilty don't cooperate it's unjustified force!

You have a hard time with reality/

No, you have a hard time with reading comprehension. We aren't talking about the stuff in Ferguson, we are talking about protests in Clayton, St. Louis, at malls and stores, etc. I would say they've been a little too lenient.

It doesn't matter where with you! The police are doing too little until they do something and then it's unjustified. You have great ideas on how it should work in hypothetical scenarios.
