Class 2 Richmond is as good as anybody in Class 2
Class 3 Odessa is the best in the area again
Class 4 Harrisonville is the only team in the area that can give Smithville a game
Class 5 Fort O is back and Raytown is for real
Class 6 The Blue Springs Dynasty aren't coming back anytime soon, The Suburban Big is loaded with good teams

Anybody else have any good ones

Hamilton and Mid-Buchanan are 2 of the top teams in Class 1 so don't think it's too dead. Lawson and Lathrop are down but definitely not a dead conference.

Is the KCI dead? That used to be such a great conference in football

i wish the GRC would return to its glory.
I remember in the Fall of 2007, that conference had 4 of the top 10 teams in Class 1
This was right before Penney got good and changed to the KCI a few years later.

West Platte, North Platte, Plattsburg, East Buch???? That conference used to be a battle week in and week out.
Hamilton is good, MB living off last year's fumes I'm afraid.

Yeah...uh, Harrisonville cannot give Smithville a game.

You seen MB play. I have. Granted, Princeton is rebuilding, but - MB still has some good talent and lots of kids who got Friday night experience the last couple years. To suggest MB is running on 2020's fumes is a bit of a stretch, IMNVHO.

I don't think dynasty and Blue Springs will ever be seen again. Blue Springs has changed permanently. They had one decent middle school team in the last two years many of which are Grain Valley kids or Lees Summit School kids on the southside. That will be the recurring theme going forward. Too much dilution. The district itself has very little geographic room to grow. I think Kelly saw the writing on the wall.

While I agree lack of growth is big I also think they should both me much better than they are. They have like 700 more kids than some of the smaller 6a schools they are competing with.

Richmond is as good as anybody 2 down. Absolutely. That’s why class 2 will be fun even though it’s not as strong as usual.

Mine would be the following

Class 1 Marionville will finally win one

Class 2 Bowling Green is for real. And is also in Missouri. Who knew? Is the Kentucky BG better?

Class 3 St Pius X Will go to the title game in class 3 after going in class 2 the previous year.

Class 4 Nevada will win their district

Class 5 Holt can compete with Jackson

Class 6 Joplin can be beaten by Republic,

You asked for overreactions. I provided them lol

He may have but in reality, he's simply double dipping ! ;)

Agreed. It is bs they've never built a 3rd high school. The recruits aren't going there anymore. If Mozee had got the job he would have corrected that. Instead he picks them off in middle school fb to "transfer" to LSN from around the city. Brilliant move hosting 6/7th grade tournaments at LSN.

Class 1- Mark Twain, Yes i did say Mark Twain. The team is being overlook after two impressive wins against South Callaway and Lexington.

Class 2- Hallsville, They're the only team i see contending with Lamar.

Class 3- Blair Oaks, I don't see anyone stopping them except if Marvin Burks makes a appearance

Class 4- Hannibal, Team to beat in Class 4. I don't see anyone stopping Hannibal Explosive Offense and Defense

Class 5- Sorry Webbies but this is Jackson year

Class 6- Sorry St. Louis and Kcity, but this is Nixa year

Like your list. I'll add a couple. Don't overlook Highland in Class 1. If they can get out of their district (no easy task) I could see them go on a run.

Bowling Green should be on everyone's radar in Class 2. They are legit.

Starks for BG has 480 yards on 27 carries. 17.8 ypc. 202 against Palmyra. Depth is the only thing I worry about with them and Hallsville.

BG, Hallsville, and Richmond all seem to be solid teams for sure.

Marionville won state in the early aughts. Was in the title game a few years before that. They have to get by Thayer in their district, but the Comets are stout this year.

I just meant they have been so close the past few years. Well seem to be just slightly off anyways.
