If it’s about risk mitigation, then a person in America is far more likely to be raped or murdered by an American than a foreigner. It’s simple math. I think I’d shift my worries to the thing that is far more likely to happen if I were actually worried about risk mitigation and not using that as a cover for my xenophobia.
