MSHSAA might as well wait until all the small schools close

Voted in by your peers. Hopefully with no agendas counter to school achievement.
Ah see that second part is very telling. I've been around long enough to see through people such as yourself. You don't want just anyone on school boards, just like minded people. Many just believe former educators or those with advanced degrees. If someone see things differently whether its political, social, or even practical then they have an "agenda". See you clearly want max funding with minimal oversite. Unfortunately there has to be oversite to some degree.
The entire Missouri educational system is an absolute mess. I think even you would agree to that to an extent. Do I necessarily agree with open enrollment? Not completely. I also don't completely agree with vouchers, as I think you should have to qualify for them. I also this some schools, such as MICDS, will exploit it and raise tuition.

I just want people on the school board who aren't going to vote to adopt a textbook based on how visually attractive the cover of the book is. A friend of mine who served on that school board told me a few of the other board members liked a textbook because they thought its handsomely-colored cover would make students more enthused about using it. They then somehow convinced the majority of board members of the same. The textbook the teachers in the department recommended and requested was summarily rejected.

Hearing some of his stories brings to mind an incredibly apt quote from Mark Twain: "In the first place God made idiots. This was for practice. Then he made School Boards."

you can't see anything around your colon.

Truancy officers are about extinct (lack of staff).
Child protective services won't get involved sometimes until over 40 plus absences (lack of staff).
Parents don't hold kids accountable (lack of interest, single parent family just trying to survive, drug/alcohol issues in family, grandparents raising kids, etc).
Perfect storm of unaccountability.

All of this true but you left out lack of support from administration. I know a lot of teachers have issued concerns about this.

If it is a FACT then it is the truth. Why not tell us? You have nothing to lose and will not get in trouble if it is a FACT.

yes pretending you are something you are not is classic snowflake material, im glad even you can spot that
Snowflake defined:

  • Overly sensitive: Easily upset or offended.

  • Having an inflated sense of self-importance: Believing they are unique or special.

  • Unable to deal with opposing opinions: Unable to tolerate criticism or disagreement.

Relax cowboy.
