I know folks have been busy as we had the holidays, snow and ice, grocery shopping to do, etc. but isn't 26 days enough for MSHSAA to post the minutes of the Dec 19 meeting? Assume no huge surprises are in the works but would be nice to see how things went.

Nothing is posted until after the Board of Directors meeting.

"Increasing the number of teams in Class 1 from 38 to 42; maintain 42 teams in Class 6; andequally divide the remaining teams into Classes 2 – 5."

Brilliant!
All the public / private drama and the final answer is move 4 teams down to class 1, study the 2 class bump up championship factor, and make Oklahoma safer.

I fell like we need to start a revolution! Who is with me, "Make bull in the ring great again"!

What about "hamburger" drill? Those were great days of middle school football, 2 guys lay down on their backs, both jump up and try to tackle each other. What could go wrong huh

I’m all for epic beatdowns. Jonah Ware is very likely going to hospitalize multiple kids this season. Park hill got 4 transfers. Can’t wait to mop the floor with each loser 6A kid we face this season. 6A6A6A

Not surprised just disappointed once again. These folks who are supposed to be intelligent and teach our kids how to act cant make good choices themselves
Making good decisions for themselves is what the problem is.

Just like going to 36 in class 1. That was only a move to remove competition.

i agree and the worst part is the most successful privates are in areas like STL and JC whom happen to have the worst public schools which gives the privates ammo.

I will say that restricting athletics to mo students only is just for show they know the schools will find them a mo address to use

Exactly right. This is just trying to pretend they're doing something..anything.

It's a joke.

Until a public school stands ups and threatens to leave MSHAA the rest will just whimper in silence like they have been since the start. One public school is going to have to grow a pair and start the ball rolling. So which public school has power/guts to do it?

Please don't get the state legislature involved !!!

Oh no, I don't want that. I could have seen Webb City back in day being that school. Lamar has their own run going right now but are they big enough to make it happen? It will have to be a school from KC or the SW to stand up and say enough is enough.

I totally agree with your sentiment but... this would all have to be done at the administrative level. They tend to be very "status quo."

Unfortunately this is what it is going to take to get the Private/Public split.

Won't be 1 school it will have to be an entire conference or multiple conferences. Essentially someone would have to start an entire mo high school athletic governing body and then recruit conferences to join them. But most would fail is my guess

I meant more a threat to leave to get MSHAA to split the public/private. Then again, MSHAA wouldn't take the threat seriously since the have the only game in town.
