You couldn't cut it.Orphanage?
In all seriousness, I'm not sure you could pay me enough to live in either the STL or KC metro area. That knocks out the options listed.
Was told the best job in coaching is an orphanage or a prison....don't have to deal with parents or alumni.Orphanage?

Nobody could. Make sure you wear a bullet proof vest as well.Without question.

Hannibal ain't too shabby!Small school- Monroe City
Average size school- Blair Oaks
Large School- Kirkwood
Exactly!I think you have to put what are the expectations as a big consideration. Places like Jeff City, Webb City, Blair Oaks, Camdenton, etc. are great jobs but if you don't win a state championship you are considered a failure.
Camdenton hasn't won a state title since 05. They've won three or four district titles in the last dozen or so years. I don't think the majority of people would call Bob or Jeff Shore failures. That said, there are crazies in every sect and they've got platforms now. Now, Camdenton has their own issues outside of football that make it toxic right now. But I don't see expectations there as unrealistic.I think you have to put what are the expectations as a big consideration. Man I wouldn't touch Webb City with a 10' pole. There is nowhere to go but down following Roderique's tenure.I think you have to put what are the expectations as a big consideration. If you were the 2nd guy coming after Roderique maybe. Following him would be brutal I'd think.Hard to look good, no question.
Yeah they have issues! I’m on season three of Ozark. Wow!Camdenton hasn't won a state title since 05. They've won three or four district titles in the last dozen or so years. Live? Yes, in pockets. Working for SPS? Man, idk. I hear it’s not all that awesome.Springfield, Mo No one gets fired for losing football games in that town. And it's a nice place to live.
I think Wendy is on the school board over there.Yeah they have issues! I’m on season three of Ozark. Wow!
I don't think you can beat that stadium set up.When I was in High School I thought I wanted to be a hs football coach and if you'd asked me then, my dream job would've been Branson. If you have the ability, a winner in Branson could really be lucrative.
I’m guessing you went to high school back in the mid 90s then? When Kneeshaw was dominating in the backfield for Branson. When I was in High School I thought I wanted to be a hs football coach and if you'd asked me then, my dream job would've been Branson. The problem with Branson is it is very transient. It is very hard to build anything because kids are always coming and going.Yeah I think Branson would be a nice gig. I've know quite a few people who have lived there and they liked it a lot, just can be difficult to find affordable housing and traffic are really the only complaints although traffic isn't nearly as bad as it used to be when there was no good way to get through town other than 76.
The district is well funded and their facilities are great. Their football stadium is easily my favorite of al the ones I've been to and every time I've been they have nice crowds even though I've never seen them win a game. I've watched both Webb City and Carthage play there many times. Had some Branson students say "hey good game Carthage!" to me on the way out of the stadium after we had rolled them a few years ago, made an impression on me regarding the sportsmanship and class there.
