Has anyone up north seen Grandview?
Are they legit or just a product of a weak schedule?

Grandview's only loss is to a top class 5 team Grain Valley
Grandview's 4 wins are vs very weak teams
When i saw them was their loss to GV, They have a good run game that doesnt go down on first contact and the receievers have some size and speed so dont let them get behind your secondary. Defense can be scored on.
In my opinion they do not belong above Kearney and are not anything the top 3 should worry about.

They have their lineman that signed with Tulane listed at 6'3" I doubt he is 6'1.5".

Probably a little of both but that will change come October when Kearney and Smithville come calling back to back weeks 8-9. In saying that there is no reason they cannot win District 7 then rematch with one of those two. Week 8 definitely on my attendance list............

My personal top 5 in Class 4 midway thru the season

1. Lutheran North
2. Smithville
3. Hannibal
4. Hillsboro
5. Pleasant Hill

Got to see them in one game. They look pretty good. Line is quick, strong. Solid QB and receivers.
I feel like I've said this for years outside of MoSports. Grandview would be a terror if they could have a QB who could catch a snap or throw an accurate, half-way decent ball. They always have the athletes in Class 4 to run cover 0 or 1 and stop the run. They were simple but hard to stop on O.

I'm newer to the area but everytime I bring up grandview all I hear is their top talent is recruited away by a certain LS school/coach

Lebanon is always ranked because they're in a rather weak conference then win a district which is mostly teams from their conference then always lose to Webb City or a KC school. Rinse and repeat. Hardly see them get properly tested. Are they for real this year?

It's either Webb City and Carthage that they lose to. To be fair, isnt that who about everyone loses to. And I think one year one of the Westplex schools, can't remember which one.

The media hypes up Lebanon's o line and running game every season and they always end up being unimpressive against the coc schools...Hopefully it's Republic's turn to do it.

I watched Lebanon in the rain at Webb a couple years ago and they looked like an even match until a turnover right after half - then it got away from them very rapidly. Carthage had no trouble with them last year however I will say the margin was less than most of the COC games except for the heavy hitters.

So in my mind that puts them comparable to the good but not astounding Republic team of the last 1.5 seasons except Lebanon is pretty consistently in this category.

I think they lost twice to LSW. Had good teams both years but LSW just more battle tested which I think was Bears point. However, I am impressed with how Lebanon has developed their program. For years they were not even competitive.

Yep faced LSW during the Evan Boehm-Luke Knott years. Bad timing.............
