What's everyone's opinions?
I told someone this week that I would wait until after I see how Monett handled McCluer South before I made a prediction.

I think this game is going to be the most competitive game in Springfield. Just my opinion though.

Lamar wins by 60. Monett will escape, but barely. That's some muscle up there in Maryville.

I thinks it's going to be a smash mouth football game with lots of hard hits and the game being a defensive battle! should be very entertaining.
Go cubbies tho!

Chaotic now you start thanking Monett has a chance after you have down played them all year.

Think Lamar and Maryville about on par with each other.

Would guess a similar score of what Lamar - Monett game was.

Well you can't exactly blame me.. they didn't impress very much during the regular season in my opinion, BUT they have played very well in the post season. I told a friend that if the MSB game wasn't a blowout then they wouldn't stand a chance against Maryville, but they blew them out so I'm thinking it's going to be a game.

Class 1- Hamilton dominates
Class 2- I would love to see this be a good game and it very well could be, but Lamar proves the whole state wrong week after week by continuing to destroy everyone they play so.... Lamar by 3 TDs
Class 3- See above
Class 4- Would like to see Harrisonville win, but we're probably looking at a Kearney win by 14-21 points
Class 5- Who cares. Might as well go to the dome to play this one. Save the east side the drive down.

bet class 1 wouldn't mind championship game be in Macon or even Columbia then having to drive all the way to Springfield.

This Kearney team is the hardest to figure I have seen probably ever.................no way to know how this one will turn out.

KC Center is the fastest most talented team in Class 3 this year. They just didn't have the Endurance to play 4 qtrs with Maryville.
I believe Center would have been a big threat in Class 4 this year had they not moved down. As correctly pointed out only lack of depth hurt them.

As I've said before I think all the contenders in Class 4 had their flaws and were more beatable than years past. Obviously that was true with Webb City and certainly this has not been the dominant Kearney team of years past. In midseason it looked like Harrisonville probably wouldn't even make it out of their district. In the end though if Kearney or Harrisonville win the title game by a point really none of the rest makes any difference.

There have been years where IMO really, really good football teams haven't even made it to the dome. Kearney and Helias a couple years ago come to mind. A top program wins even when they might not have a great team. Kearney and Harrisonville are programs. I'm still leaning toward Kearney in this one though hugely respect how far H-ville has improved the second half of the season.

As for Class 3. I think Maryville will win by a solid margin, probably about 21. IMO Lamar would probably beat Maryville though it would be a great game.

I'm pretty sure they thought they would score 40-50 on Center too....
Maryville never thought any such thing. They scrimmaged them in the Jamboree and knew that was probably going to be a dog fight and it was. I have a great deal of respect for Center's team and program. They were tough in 2012 and they were tough in 2016!

Center loses Norvell Trent but practically everyone else returns (all things being equal of course between now and next August) so look for the south KC Jackets to be in the mix again in 2017.

Maryville would slap Lamar (this year).. Don't know about other years but this year I think so..

Maryville Turbo clocks title game.

Mean while in Class 1, The championship game will not involve Valle for the first time since.. when?
I remember posting the night Penney pulled off that comeback vs. Lawson remember that one if/when the Hornets win it all..............well here we are.

Maryville will score 40 to 50 points. How many they give up will be the question.
You forgot to STAMP IT!

I am a Maryville fan (along with a few other teams) and I also doubt that. Maryville +21 vs Monett sounds good to me.

Against Lamar I would guess Maryville by 7-10 but I wouldn't put any money on it.
