Safe to say the state title game was played in Chillicothe 3 weeks ago.
My preseason champ Center played the machine within 6 on the road in the quarters..........Safe to say the state title game was played in Chillicothe 3 weeks ago.
Today is way less about SWMO being "down". Much more about an established, elite program that emerged from off the pace to reestablish itself among the best in any class in the Show Me State. CONGRATS Spoofhounds! My nerves are rising by the hour as the Staley game approaches...............Starting to think Monett last year may have been a flash in the pan; otherwise, SWMO has proven to be sub-par in Class 3 since Cassville/LR won it three out of four years (that was 6-7 years and since then Seneca’s made it only to be trounced, and now Mt. Vernon)

I generally ignore the next year until all games are completed for the current year BUT no doubt Maryville will be prohibitive favorites in the MEC and a sure fire preseason #1 in Class 3 barring some unforeseen enrollment/classification change at their level by MSHSAA. Smithville, moving to the Suburban Small Seven, is also pretty young and would've been my longshot to knock them off..........Maryville going be even better next couple of years. They lose the qb ( which may be replaced by Dowis next year) and 1 very good lineman. Most everybody else is back getting another year bigger and stronger.
People (including me) was down on this team as a rebuild year (For Maryville standards) and would exit at districts against Chillicothe.
True, but Marryville faced tougher competition in the playoffs from NWMO schools, so it would seem this year that it’s not just Maryville that’s better than SWMO in Class 3, but NWMO in general...Today is way less about SWMO being "down". I'll be there. I left at halftime of the Maryville game since I live just down the road but I'll be back for the other games.Thank you, sir.
Alright. Who's in charge of keep us posted on the next game?
No teams in my region but should be a dandy. I will peek at it while watching the Iron Bowl and OU games.Thank you, sir.

Mt Vernon was 5th place in their conference this year. They got hot there for a couple of weeks, but looked like that 5-4 team they were at the end of the regular season today. Hats off to Maryville, they were dominant today.True, but Marryville faced tougher competition in the playoffs from NWMO schools, so it would seem this year that it’s not just Maryville that’s better than SWMO in Class 3, but NWMO in general...
SWMO just going to have to step it up in Class 3.
