Well comparing common opponents you could say they are best team in state.

First thing that comes to mind is Lamar, who put 69 on Blair Oaks in 2012. BO also scored 41 themselves.

At halftime some jack was interviewed on the broadcast works at some bank and a Lutheran grad, talking about how he is just super proud of the great job the staff has done and they work so hard and everybody buys in, and they have put together a really solid program and he is really excited
Watched the game and I love dominant football but this is a joke. Something is broken when three small St. Louis private schools, Lutheran North, Trinity & Cardinal Ritter, has 1/3 of the top 50 recruits in Missouri. Especially when class 3 and down typically has 2 or 3 at the most.
With that said, Lutheran North players & fans have always shown great sportsmanship. Happy for them.

Correct me if I'm wrong. Lutheran north's actual 9 12 enrollment is class 1. Has there been a class 1 public school with that kind of talent? Or even close to that level.
Unadjusted, they’re Class 1. Unfortunately, they’ll only get bumped to Class 3 next year. If only there were enough public school ADs with the balls to pull the trigger on allowing schools to petition for greater classification adjustments, or allowing private schools to split into their own division.

For those of you crying foul, please stop making it seem like Class 1 - 4 schools are SUPPOSED to have worse talent & coaches than Class 5 schools. Class size does not make a program better.
The fact that LN has a semi-allstar team has nothing to do with MSHSAA rules, Carl Reed or the school. FAMILIES are choosing to go to Lutheran North due to college exposure that their football program has. Again, don't blame the school or coaches...sending kids to a private school is the parents decision and a 4 year sacrifice.
There is no such thing as a level playing field. It's competition. The better team will win. This is the 1st Championship in the Carl Reed era at Lutheran North. So with all of the talent that has been filtered through that school in the last 5-7 years or so, they finally got 1. Congrats to them.

I don’t think enough public school ADs support there being a split for private schools. I’d love to sit in on votes so I could name names, but I DO know public schools outnumber privates by a large amount. If enough public ADs supported the move, I think it’d pass. If somebody here knows some ADs, I’d love to know what the scoop is.
