for a school that has literally won one title in the 'major sports' in the history of their school, they sure are pretty uppity.Tipton left because girls basketball wanted more competition. Crazy because they still do not get it. LOL

If you live in Tipton and you're uppity...that's just a whole new set of issues.for a school that has literally won one title in the 'major sports' in the history of their school, they sure are pretty uppity.

Kaysinger, like the Show Me Conference did, has school size problems. The larger schools (Cole Camp, Windsor, Stover (soon)) have a football scheduling problem while the smaller schools have population problems (Otterville, La Monte, Green Ridge, etc.) The smaller schools have to co-op with other conference schools or not have sub varsity games as well. Tipton when the left mentioned that not being able to have sub varsity games along with the size of the conference schedule (10 games plus 3 games in conference tournament) limits what you can do scheduling wise.Bears county - please explain your second paragraph.
Maybe Camdenton would consider joining, since they are interested dodging good competition, and the future classes are not looking too good.Kaysinger, like the Show Me Conference did, has school size problems. I just think for the long term good of the league and all sports programs (Cole Camp, Windsor, Stover) need to move on to Ozark Highlands or start a new conference that revolves around football. Ideally a Cole Camp, Windsor, Stover, Versailles, Tipton, Warsaw aka a Tri-County lite makes too much sense for it too happen lol.
Going to be down to 5 schools in a year (after Lincoln goes 8 man). Stover could fit there eventually. Not a lot of other schools in the area playing 11 man. Not many obvious choices in Class 1 or Class 2 in the area.Lincoln, Windsor, Cole Camp, Crest Ridge, Lone Jack, and Cass-Midway make up the West Central Conference for football only. It is made up of former Kaysinger, I-70, and WEMO conference teams. Adrian, Tipton, Wellington, and Slater have dropped out of the WCC in recent years.
schedule up! With the current MSHSAA seeding process it's the only way.Lincoln, Windsor, Cole Camp, Crest Ridge, Lone Jack, and Cass-Midway make up the West Central Conference for football only. Maybe add Skyline to the mix? Or Knob NosterLincoln, Windsor, Cole Camp, Crest Ridge, Lone Jack, and Cass-Midway make up the West Central Conference for football only. Skyline seems like a good fit not too much travel in the region but isn't Knob a bit big for those other schools?Maybe add Skyline to the mix? Or Knob Noster
Bigger does not always mean better. They have been playing them some in all sports. You never know from each semester what they will have at Knob.Skyline seems like a good fit not too much travel in the region but isn't Knob a bit big for those other schools?
skyline went from usually pretty good to absolute craptastic in no time flat.Skyline seems like a good fit not too much travel in the region but isn't Knob a bit big for those other schools?
Small schools run in cycles.skyline went from usually pretty good to absolute craptastic in no time flat.
talent went bye bye...but why?
My God who knows? Little bitty Urbana has been a feel good HS athletics story since I was a youngster (some sports still is BTW).skyline went from usually pretty good to absolute craptastic in no time flat.

I do know they are annually one of the hardest HSFB programs to read. They fool me time and again...............Bigger does not always mean better. They have been playing them some in all sports. You never know from each semester what they will have at Knob.
The easiest barometer to read on how Knob will be is whether or not we are at war. US is at war, more leaders and their often high school age kids end up in Knob.Bigger does not always mean better. They have been playing them some in all sports. You never know from each semester what they will have at Knob.
Branson and Pierce City used to play. Been dodging the Eagles ever since.Surprised Branson doesn’t want in SWC or drop to 8 man. They are the best at dodging since LeFleur
I have to disagree with this 👆. SGF Central are the kings of ducking good teams until districts. Just wait until the smaller schools start stomping the isht out of Central again.Surprised Branson doesn’t want in SWC or drop to 8 man. They are the best at dodging since LeFleur![]()
They're not ducking. It's hard to get kids out when you get the road apples knocked out of you every week. At least they didn't drop to jv like Clinton.
I assume you know Lincoln has dropped to JV in the past. They're not ducking. It's hard to get kids out when you get the road apples knocked out of you every week. At least they didn't drop to jv like Clinton.
All those years they were running it up on people and now that what went around is coming around they decide to cut and run.I assume you know Lincoln has dropped to JV in the past.
They going 8 man too?You guys are going to have to get some new material about Springfield Central and the Class 1 schools in the next cycle.
When Central football steps up does things the right way considering the size of that school population, the football program will get its respect. Nothing new about that. You guys are going to have to get some new material about Springfield Central and the Class 1 schools in the next cycle.

So Central is strengthening their schedule. They went 0-10 last year and that included them playing some Class 1 teams. At this point they need to consider dropping football. The SWC has changed their scheduling format. First two weeks of the season are non-conference games, the last 7 are conference. Central won't be playing any of them. Look for their schedule to have more Big 8, OMC schools on it.
Lockwoodsian even! All those years they were running it up on people and now that what went around is coming around they decide to cut and run.
Zero respect for this move. If you can't take it don't dish it out.
Pathetic.
Ya that place is something else.Lockwoodsian even!
If there is something additionally concerning with the LTs, wasn't the year they didn't have girls' hoops the year that Golden City allowed them to coop, which put a decent Eagles Class 1 program into a more rugged Class 2. Which then meant that GC almost sacrificed a "golden" opportunity for a girls C1 district title. Then a few years later, when GC was in the same predicament, they asked Lockwood to coop and were denied? If I remember, that seemed to be the case. Puts the Lock on a not-so-nice list definitely.Ya that place is something else.
It's telling when they win a district in girls basketball and yet don't have a team the next year then all the sudden the talent moves up and voila a team!
If Everton can field a team yearly in basketball , everyone else can too. Suck it up.
